Open Perpetuum project release! (No more wipes or resets!)

Hey everyone, Beastmode here, been a bit I know, but I wanted to take this moment to announce this, bit of a big and exciting deal for anyone still caring for perp!

It is confirmed that as of yesterday the open perpetuum server has gone live from the pre-alpha, it is confirmed that there will be no more wipes or resets. Aka the fresh slate is here, let the new era begin!

So far to name old corps that are already reforming, so far there is PHM, JOKE, OTHERS, DREAM, and SK. (Also known as Saeder Krupp Heavy Machinery, it was the german precursor to REMEDY for anyone not familiar with history dating to the first year of perpetuum.)

On top of this surely we will see more old and now corps form. I am working with my own fresh new corp that I have already formed called "Nian Legacy" ticker being LEGACY.

If you do return and join an existing corp, form a new one, run solo or do who knows what, I look forward to seeing you all again, 7 years of Nian history are gone and the history books are fresh and empty waiting to be written in. Good luck, to all who return, and its good to see you again agents!

- It is officially confirmed the original company that created the game is shutting down. And that the official game is no longer under active development

- The game is actually published under another company belonging to Dev CRM meaning the game will continue steam distribution and the official servers will remain online for an indefinite time period

- The remainder of the Dev team is currently working to create a standalone client for the game that will essentially open source the game and allow us to host our own private servers as well.

- There will be a blog on how and what we will be able to do, but Gargaj has confirmed that doing our own balancing will be one of them!

- This means that the community should it be willing, will be able to decide the future of perpetuum and will decide on game mechanics, balancing, and so on on its own while seeking input from itself!

- While I am sure it will be mentioned in the blog, it is currently unknown if we will be able to create brand new content and assets within the game.

TL;DR The original Perpetuum we forever love and know is at its end as far as development goes, but now the community will finally inherit the game and it may have a chance to live on yet!
