Patch Notes: Q1, March 1st 2020
Welcome to Q1’s patch of 2020. Turning over into a new decade, OMG mod is refocusing on several ideas, below are new clarification documents that help illustrate OMG mod’s current progress direction.
First, we want to update the mod on who exactly are the current development members and what it is everyone is currently working on. Here is a link to the full Development Team Roles Document.
Second, we want to perfect our map pool as much as possible while our world class map editor Gorkstar is still willing to provide for us his hardwork and dedication. Here is a link to the New Maps and Edits Initiative.
Third, OMG mod isn the wild west, and we want to portray that with a meaningful list of rules and guidelines of player etiquette. These rules are always subject to change, but as of now they are the official governing text for player expected behavior and consequences for severe issues. Fourth, OMG mod needs funding. We have a lot of development excitement in the pipeline, we want to pour time in to build up the mod, not let it die. There is ofcourse a feedback loop on development and community engagement. The more community involvement, the more development, which spurs more community involvement and so on. However, the opposite is also true, which often leads to our well known
“OMG mod seasons”. Let's try to fix this. In the future OMG plans on pursuing new possible player recruitment routes that may or may not cost us money, not to mention the server costs that Razor picks up the tab on ever so silently. So while we figure out the specifics of our future plans to help recruit new players and jump start the development feedback loop, please consider donating to the patreon. We are now offering incentives: For $7.50 American a player will receive 2 additional war companies. For $10, the player will additionally receive reward units for all of his companies. Fifth, last, and probably not least: OMG mod understands that for some players these community initiatives, balance changes, new maps, and new recruitment drives can make up for the fact that playing the game is occasionally just demoralizing and oppressive. What players want most out of the mod is to improve their own gameplay and stop getting stomped in games they don understand what they did wrong. - Map Master Directory Changes-
New Edits:
Schijndel: A few uncrushable hedges were made crushable.
St Lambert: A second and for a likely long time final edit to Lambert. The map has been widened out and decluttered.
Point Du Hoc: This omg classic has been given a little love, decluttered and widened out slightly. This map is going up for the New Maps and Edits Initiative first.
Hill 400: Gork’s pet project for replacing Ardennes Valley, the Sneaky Slav might just pull it off with a couple dozen more tweaks. Fixed a few critical errors with the map, likely more to come.
Amfreville: Widened out the map, cleared up the middle region and particularly the train. Resectored as well.
Airfield Assault: Difficult to decipher shot blockers and non shotblocker assets have been touched up for clarity.
OMG Abbeville: This bad boy is clean shaven, new clothing, shiny white teeth, and a couple of new tattoos as well. Nothing like what his mother did to him last month (EIR Abbeville).
Somewhere in Normandy (6/8p): widened out, resectored, and hench. A must play and likely soon to be classic.

New Additions to the List:
The Scheldt: No it's not literally the Vcoh Scheldt, although it could probably do with a name change. This map is first on this list for the New Maps and Edits Initiative. Play it, we need the feedback.
Berlin 1945: This one was just recently dusted off from an old harddrive, expect a lot of work down the pipeline.
Villers Bocage: Another dusted off map as well. Just understand we intending to work with these maps for a bit while they transition their way back into the mod.

Blue refers to a doctrine ability.
General Changes:
All utility offmaps may only be purchased once. Utility offmaps now provide unlimited uses but on a much longer cooldown.
● Inspired assault: 6min/85Mu
● Blitzkrieg: 8min/150Mu
● For the Fatherland: 10min/150mu
● Radio disruption: 5min/100Mu
● Proper Encryption: 10min/80
● PE SE “Scorched Earth” 5min/80mu
● Luftwaffe and British Boys AT Rifles reliability and useability have been addressed in following:
● Increased range but decreased accuracy at maximum range level
● Increased accuracy and damage against most infantry
● Increased damage against PE vehicles
● Decreased non penetrating shots damage Spawn Buff:
● Extended Duration of damage immunity from 6 to 7.5 seconds on Infantry.
● Extended Duration of heavy crush from 6 to 7.5 seconds on vehicles. ● Added 0 received accuracy
● All AT guns can no longer capture territory.



Population gain/loss rates changed as shown below, number shown is total value of all summed sectors at time brackets shown:
Previous:
● 0 to 15 minutes = 1 pop
● 15 to 30 minutes = 2 pop
● 30 to 60 minutes = 3 pop
● 60 to minutes = 4 pop New:
● 0 to 24 minutes = 2 pop
● 24 to 35 minutes = 3 pop
● 35 to 45 minutes = 4 pop
● 45 minutes = 5 pop


American Faction:
Bug fix: .30 cal machine gun veterancy 3 bonus now provides 15% more burst length
● BAR’s damage multiplier vs. Soldier armor up from .4 → .5
57mm AT gun total population increased from 4 → 5
● Us halftrack price 250mp/15fu → 210mp/10fu


American- Armor Doctrine:
Bug fix: Engineer veterancy 3 repair bonus is now a multiplier, expert engineers now gain increased repair rate from veterancy as intended.
Unlocking Field Mechanics no longer requires the player to purchase an individual upgrade per engineer to apply. Simply unlocking the field mechanics doctrine ability will provide all engineer squads with the upgrade passively.
Jumbo Redesigned:
● Panther Armour → Jagdpanther Armour
● HP 636 → 800
● Weapon 75mm Sherman jumbo → 75mm Sherman
● Speed 3.9 → 3
● Cost 360/340 → 500/500
● Sherman 105 10 → 9 pop
Calliope 14 → 13 pop
● Pershing resupply up to 1 per battle
Mechanized infantry can now buy one Bazooka each at 40Mu


American- Airborne Doctrine:
Bug fix: Airborne airdropped onto the field no longer have their garands overwritten with carbines. Bug fix: M1919 lmg granted by Long Range Weapons now utilizes the same target tables as BAR rifles against PE halftracks.
Bug fix: G43 icon no longer appears on Airborne with upgraded Ranger Garands
1919 lmgs have reduced damage against PE soldier armor .75 → . 55 dmg. Also, Nearby
Suppression Multiplier 0.75 → 0.5 and Nearby Suppression Radius 12 → 10
● Airborne Bombing run offmap price increased 140mu → 180mu
● Bombing run down to max 2 uses
The Hellhounds doctrine ability 50 Cal price increased 50mu → 80mu. Regular MG re-enabled at cost 50mu even with the unlock.
● The Hellhounds upgrade now provides an additional 20% turret rotation speed
Strafing run smoke arrives after a .5 second smoke delay, down from 3 seconds, and a 1 second attack delay
● Strafing run plane now has 60 hp, down from 75
M1A1 carbine on Airborne has been slightly altered
● Short range aim multiplier: 0.2 → 0.25
● Short range cooldown multiplier: 0.575 → 0.525
● Mid range cooldown multiplier: 1.05 → 1


British Faction:
Bug fix: LT auras no longer incorrectly stack
Bug fix: Expert Engineers can now capture territory
Bug fix: Vickers Emplacement no longer keeps construction armor class after fully built
● Vickers Machine Gun veterancy 3 bonus now provides 15% more burst length
Brens damage multiplier vs. Soldier armor up from .5 → .55
● Cromwell population cost decreased from 11 → 10
17 pounder AT gun population increased from 4 → 5
● Vickers MG from 270mp/40mu → 270mp/30mu
25 Pounder pop from 8 →7,
LT “Heroic Charge” from 70mu → 60mu


British- Royal Canadian Artillery Doctrine:
Devils Brigade now come equipped with Ranger M1 Garands
● Devils Brigade Johnson LMG now receives a 2 second ambush bonus
Stuart Recce hull machine gun replaced with jeep machine gun
● Supercharged 25 Pounder pop from 9 → 8


British- Commando Doctrine:
Polish Commando Reward Unit smoke now lasts 1.5s
● Commando “Now this is a big sodding gun” 3VP → 1VP




British- RSE Doctrine:
Bug fix: Churchill command tank can now retreat
Churchill command tank available to RSE doctrine as a standard unit. 1 resupply per game.
● Churchill Croc resupply up to 1 per battle
Churchill mine plow price from 50mu → 35mu
● RSE “I can see for miles” from 6vp → 4vp
RSE “Behaving like officers” from 3vp → 2vp
● RSE “Armor ingenuity” from 6vp → 3vp
Base Churchill from 350mp/250fu → 300mp/250fu
● Flame Stuart from 260mp/90fu → 260mp/60fu


Wehrmacht Faction:
● All officer barrages now start on a cooldown upon entering the field
Halftrack population down from 3 → 2
● Flammenwerfer Halftrack population increased from 4 → 5
Knights Cross Holders population increased from 5 → 6
● KCH from 330mp → 300mp
Nebelwerfer population decreased from 8 → 7
● Nebelwerfer cooldown decreased from 140s → 125s
Only one pioneer squad at a time can construct an MG bunker or Pantherturm
● Pak38 AT gun population increased from 4 → 5
Pioneer veterancy level 3 repair bonus is now a multiplier
● Panther 600mp/580fu → 600mp/520fu
Wehr LMG from 80mu → 70mu
● Wehr halftrack price 210mp/15fu → 200mp/10fu


Wehrmacht- Blitzkrieg Doctrine:
Bug fix: Stormtrooper squad leader now receives same ambush bonus as other squad members
75mm Half Track removed from game
● Panzer Officer now has “can see for miles” ability when garrisoned in a tank and can cap territory.
Tiger up to 1 resupply/battle.
● Stormtroopers price from 330mp → 300mp


Wehrmacht- Defensive Doctrine:
Reward Unit Volksturm have been reworked:
● 7 man squad at 5 pop
● Recon tommy weapon modifiers (+15% reload & cooldown, -15% accuracy).
● 55hp per man
● Increased sight range and stealth detection when stationary or in a building
● In cover they recieve 10% less damage (20% if green cover), accuracy, weapon cooldown, and suppression if the cover is in friendly territory
● When they lose a man they recieve 10% less damage, accuracy, weapon cooldown, and suppression for several seconds
● Registered Artillery off map radius slightly increased
Pantherturm: Price from 30mu/150fu → 40mu/175fu
● Surplus Munitions buff to LMG’s burst duration is decreased from 20% → 10%
Bug fix: “For the fatherland” icon now shows correctly in WarCp

Wehrmacht- Terror:
Sturmpioneers may now cut wire
● Sturmpioneers now receive 25% more damage, down from 100%, while constructing Terror Flame Mortar Reward Unit flame round cooldown increased to 60s
● KT up to 1 resupply/battle.


Panzer Elite Faction:
Bug fix: Upgraded scout car can now be retreated using a spawn zone
Marder population increased from 5 → 6
● Panther 600mp/580fu → 600mp/520fu


Panzer Elite- Scorched Earth
Bug fix: Stup IV veterancy level 2 now affects machine gun
Burning Bombardment now drops 25% faster


Panzer Elite- Luftwaffe
Bug fix: Panzerfausts can no longer be fired through hedges and buildings
Bug fix: Crete Veteran moving accuracy buff now applies
Bug fix: Crete Veteran now have standard weapon cooldown from ambush
Fallschirmjäger total population decreased from 5 → 4
● Crete Veterans total population decreased from 6 → 5
Erbenmuster Camo now provides Marder cloak in 5 seconds
● Erbenmuster Camo now provides the upgraded scout car cloak after 5 seconds
Luftwaffe Ground Forces veterancy now also applies to the expert repairs upgrade.

Panzer Elite- Tank Hunters
Jagdpanther resupply up to 1 per battle
● Pak40 pop from 4 → 5

Bug fix: Purchasing fuel upgrade which meant that the company would lose 125 MP 45 MU instead of the correct value of 90 MP and 30MU
Added the ability to refund resource bonuses
● New links at the top of the briefing room to always display the latest update notes, patreon and etiquette documents.
