That theme looks great! Glad to see someone has taken up the mantle; the old green skin lives on!

Given how petty modern day valve is it's only a matter of time before they find a way to break these new skins.

You have to downgrade your steam version, and get SFP, and put this in steam launch args:
"-cef-enable-debugging -vgui -nofriendsui -no-browser +open steam://open/minigameslist"
You'll also have to go to steam interface and change the skin to og-steam.
Here is how to revert UI , and your Steam will have a broken friends list after that; so here's a current method to patch that too. (Ironically, it is NOT sfp.) [github.com]

for who have a crap 2010 laptop with intel hd graphics searching for a solution for the new UI glitches like invisible tabs and etc, go on settings, then interface, disable "Enable GPU accelerated rendering in web views" and "Enable hardware video rendering", it's not the best solution but it is what we have for now

Add the -vgui launch parameter to the Steam shortcut (and/or in SFP's settings at "Steam launch args") to launch the pre-update Steam (for now, at least).

Custom skins were the only way to keep Whats New hidden. And now it's back permanently.

With the new update, you can pretty much wave goodbye to custom UI support from Valve's part. With how few people knew about it to begin with, no reason for them to actively maintain it.

@Delta Until Valve gets their act together and fixes Friends/Chat on Windows so that it remembers its position, I can't justify the time it would take.

@Snakester you can edit the font size in the .layout files, but there is no easy way to do it for everything in Steam.

Is there a way to change the font size?

Hey @Ungstein, I love this skin, been using it for atleast a year now. Very nostalgic and takes me back.

It has been a while though and wanted to change it all up again. I was looking around for original steam skins, like your skin, but from the era of 2008-2013. As you may know, most of the steam skins pre-update don't really work anymore. I've tried 3 that I found and the layout is nice and very accurate but there are some glaring issues that make it unusable (Libary not loading, downloads not loading, buttons and labels in the wrong place etc).

I was wondering if you would be interested in another project where you could maybe re-create another one of these original steam skins? Not many people are making skins anymore, and if they are, they tend to be really taccy and ugly. That's just my opinion though.

Is the windows that appears when you just opened Steam, containing update news and deals. It's also available on View, under Update News button but it's working fine right now. It might be some issue Old Glory i had

@kahzukie @"Lunatic Sign" I have not created a skin for Friends/Chat because SteamFriendsPatcher did not work reliably for this purpose. Now that SFP has been released, I will test it and see if it's going to be worthwhile.
