what do you mean by source files? do you mean items already existing in the game? if so thats not the case just today i replaced the model for the fosters facade with hat of the last breath and the pyrotechnic tote with the cranial case download meant to replace the pyro conscience dolls

its easily possible, you just need to make sure your careful about file names and conflicts

o also you dont have to rename on materials in 98% of the cases as the material files

yes how it works is like so: the item that you want to be replaced would be the file name while the item MODEL that you want woulb be the file in thsi case you would rename the model files from the item that you dled and then replace the files names with sniper prof speks filename

sorry if im an annoying ♥♥♥♥ but,
in the models folder should i rename anything that says sniper_villansveil to sniper_proffesorspeks
or also on the material folders

but you should know that it wont work most likely as source models have their file names saved in their data and it will not work if these names are different.
you should use a mdl hexer (google that!) to change the name in the model file to the new one.

yes that seems about right is that is the appropaite file name for the specks for sniper
only the model files are what need to be renamed

@ysd yes all you need to know is the name of the item you want to replace i.e the last breath the file name for it is pyro_halloween_gasmask etc for eample today i replaced the attendent with the voodoo juju by renaming vodoo_juju_pyro and all associated files to attendent

To do this you need Gfcscape to extract the files that you want to replace

does the au-42 space modulator have a firstperson model?

also you can rename stuff to replace other stuff?

@Memopirates tried the same might be a glitch

@vinyl if you don't like what mod the items replace go in to the model folders files for that item and rename it

for example take the lil reaper i downloaded the steel trap badge replacement and renamed it mvm_flask_generic and then it replaced the model of mvm canteen

All I can say is

you guys did a terrible job of selecting which item the NotLU replace

the items look beautiful though

@YSD hey have you tested the straw stuff stitch up from day 1 of the update from the Gothic page? when i tried it it was white textured not brown any one else get this?

NOTLU2 is done no more days will be added
But it has been confirmed from smashman that there is a bunch more to add

fairy dutch hasnt been added to notlu2 for 2 reasons:
1 - administrator didnt get the dl link for fairy dutchess
2 - its on tf2

Again they only put in the items that the creators gave them
They couldnt just add everything in it

Please some one please upload alternative versions of the burlap boogyman sets that replaces other items besides last breath and summer shades, i tried editing the strawstuffed stichup to replace the fosters facade by i ended up with an invisible pyro head and a hl2.exe crash
