ABOUT Nexus Ops™

Welcome to the Team.

'Focus on what you know in order to know what you think. Back to basics."

- Archer

----------------------------------------------------

'Nexus' members are expected to practice and emphisize positional combat more so than reflex and reaction.

If you find yourself reacting - it usually means you 'misjudged' the situation therefore you must react.

Our philosophy is to lead the opponent into a disadvantageous position permitting us greater ease in striking from unexpected yet strong positions.

We cannot shoot what we cannot see - therefore it is also important that 'Nexus' members learn to use their 'sound' to read the enemy's positions - as should all seasoned CS players - not so we can engage - but to prepare ourselves to maximize the greatest return on any given situation. This permits greater 'corner kiting' advantage = higher chance the adversary will be shot first before he can see and aim you down.

Learn your guns. Understand how to select your weapons for your role and position. Close range vs Long range. Get a read for your virtual enviornment and use that knowledge to your advantage.

We understand that wall-hackers exist but we also know that they can only do so much when you use your senses to read their arrogant movements as best as possible and keep the mantra, "They are probably just doing better". We don't care about wallers because if we killed off every other member of their team - they are going to have a hard time dealing with a multi-directional assault if properly conducted.

We emphisize self-improvement at all times but we also desire that you learn to remain "ice-cold" in high-pressure situations. Panic only increase tension and stress ultimately throwing off your aim and ability to understand the current situation - all 360 degrees.

You should learn to use time to your advantage in order to throw the enemy off. Throwing off the enemy is the key skill to being a member.

Keep your cross hair up at all times - pointed at the direction of incoming enemies. If you need to check something - check it quick.

Do not be distracted if it is not immediate - if you took proper cover and your angle is good - you shouldn't need to look elsewhere unless you hear something - it could mean the difference between life and death.

Remember it's easier to shoot a target that walks into your cross hair than it is to move your mouse - that is why the crosshair must always be pointed at the exact area that you expect them to peek-out from. Use your ears to gauge their distance and remain calm. If they peek and your calculations are all correct in regard to yourself, the adversary, and the situation - you may lose your life but not the battle.

If all else fails: Run deathmatch until you are on the top 2 of the leaderboards.

Good luck.
