when the auto updater runs it's fine and downloads the new version, but when i launch it again, it comes up with an error that says it's a virus or potentially unwanted program. turning off my AV does nothing. is there something i'm missing?

This is so cool. I used to play NetStorm and I just remembered the game as I was telling my kids about early internet gaming. I think I burned several neurons remembering the name of the game. Ended up googling Images by querying: 'Windows PC game 1990 flying ships floating islands pvp columns' and it popped right there. I found an article about the game being ported to a Star Craft II Map and from there I find the link to Steam. I bought it on the spot.

This awesome game was part of my childhood, i remember playing it first back in 1998, it was so addictive and made you think a lot lol.

I'm playing this awesome game since a long time (it was my first game btw), but i'm quite young so I didn't know the time when a lot of people played it ... i've been hoping the servers to come back for many years, and now i discover the game is on Steam.

A bit late but I was sitting around recently and a memory of this game struck me like a ton of bricks. Fell in love with it way back when it came out and would love to play again. Are servers still online at all?

I know the developers are working on a 3D remake. Souds cool, but i fell in love with NetStorm old-style grafic... Besides, the online will be back soon...

Guys the 3D reboot of netstorm style gameplay that is being worked on with the help of the original netstorm developers could really use your backing on kickstarter. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/525138512/disciples-of-the-storm-rts project currently is at 4k backing but needs every old time NS player to help support and spread word.

I contacted the admin of NetstormWorld, he said he will be back next week and he will fix the online servers of netstormworld! The online play is still possible! However, I'm having trobles with the validation process that allow the onlyne play. I wrote an e-mail to the admin, I'll tell you the answer as soon as possible.

I found the installer! It was in a download link differen from netstorm HQ. The 10.78 version can still be downloaded! I'll put the file in a safe place so i can upload it again if necessary.

I love netstorm and play it since 2000. Unfortunately the page: netstormhq.net ist not up anymore and I could not find any players since then. Im happy to join this group!!
So where can I download the actual game so we can play? I only have the version of Netstorm that I downloaded from netstormhq.net once but the launcher has problems with the mirrorlist or something... can anyone help?

Would just like to know if this game is dead or not? NetStorm is one of my favorite games of all time, and I'd really like to learn the game again and play it. About 5 years a go I played the game really actively, some of you might remember me from the name aatami or aatamix44.
