The Summer Inaugural is an off-season Single Elimination Competition featuring 16 Open teams and 6 initial Invite teams with the top 2 open teams progressing in to the invite bracket.

Each round consists of a best of 3, featuring map preferences and the addition of a default map each week. Teams will have the luxury to select their map preference from a map pool, once both preferences have been played the game is over, or if the game is tied the default map of that round will be played. If your team knocked out early, you will still have the opportunity proceed in the lower bracket to compete for a consolation final.

Prizes:
Open Bracket 1st place: $60 + 25 keys
Open Bracket 2nd place: 25 keys

Don't need to explain this, but we'll be playing in the next round of OZFL.

OWL9 Signups will open on the 17th. The most likely map pool has been added to the tbc dropbox. We will be scrimming more coming up to OWL so we can decide on which division is best for us.

So OWL8 is started and we got into div5! Huzzah! Feresar is the OWL8 Div5 admin, he's on my friends list, but feel free to add him if you want to say Hi! I've invited you all to the OWL8 Div5 steam group, this is where shared division information will be posted.

According to Feresar we're the DISNEY DIVISION! Disney movies are pretty rad, so things are looking pretty good already :P

There are a few little things to go over for OWL:
- Remember to keep mm1 to a minimum
- Tell Turtle whenever you can't play, if a date/time is agreed on you MUST be there
- Make sure your PREC is working and records every game
- Scoreboard screenshots MUST be taken at the end of each map and attached in this thread
- Download all the custom maps
- Best dressed will be ours!

The application form was started last night by DBS, Rumo and Turtle and is on the dropbox (I have another version so you can add any notes to that file if you want to). If you look at the template page it mentions about the more effort you put in the more chance you have of not being ruled out of the division you want.

I have currently left the division we want to enter as 4/5. Speak to me if you have any views as to which division you'd prefer to go into.

Let me know if there's going to be rounds you can't play. Take note that the rounds near the time of assignments/exams are 2 weeks rather than 1 week.
