Saturday Night fever

There has been a serious outbreak of the Saturday Night Fever here at ModComp Headquarters.
Symptoms include dancing, spasms, loud music, and big releases.
It's hard to code a website with flippety flop flip feet that try to dance 20 dances at once according to Tal.

In the meanwhile Evil Knevil is singing that he's excited and he just can't hide it.
Several windows have shattered and the server is shaking as well.

If only this will end well..

As with all great things somehow Valve related, they simply take time to finish and meet a standard of quality.
Modcomp is no exception, quality goes over quantity.
And the modcomp has quite an enormous amount of quantity that needs to be polished to quality.

We shall continue to push out silly, musical, mysterious announcements with drama and riddles to keep you up to speed with the current events.
In the meanwhile I have been told to write a letter to a certain princess that I may not set deadlines anymore.

We are giving the last 2 judges, 1 single day of extension.
Release is tomorrow no matter what, if my computer blows up and half the site consists of embarrasing photos of Tal with granola bars. SO BE IT.
But this shows once again that even though we love our cuddly and fluffy judges and their valve time continuum. We try to do our best to deliver the best quality possible.

In the meanwhile to prevent everyone boiling over with rage I'm going to initiate the MODDING COMPETITION ITEM RAFFLE.

The Final Countdown

As usual judges put effort into their abilities to push deadlines, making waiting more unbearable and wearing fashionable sparkly hats.
Or we have Tal forgetting to make backups or using undo buttons.
Reason for panic? Why yes, however being the bold and innovative group of men that is the ModComp team we have successfully calculated the release of the results.
You may ask yourself "How is this possible?" "Did you guys run out of granola bars?" "Did Tal solve the economical problems in Greece?" "Is Batman really Bruce Wayne?"
Well no, we all know Bruce hates bats.

The results? Well according to my eightball it's this weekend.

As a request to everyone whom entered: send us a release ready/mod download so we include that on the results page.
If you haven't already submitted your entry to the workshop do so!

The judging has begun, now before I tell you the specifics let me tell you an interesting story of life at ModComp HQ..

This morning, first floor "management" Modding Competition Head Quarters:
Hey Tal whats going on? Tal? ... ehm are you going to do anything else but flailing about whilst running? Tal? Maybe telling me whats going on?
While being confused I left Tal running around madly I silently walked towards the nearest computer to be shocked at the sight I saw. It wasnt that Tal forgot to erase his browsing history that disturbed me, it was the fact that all the entries had been received! A neat total of 16 out of 37 teams have successfully sent in their entry, after shedding a manly tear my attention went that out of the whopping 37 teams less than the half sent in their items?
This wasnt as planned I heard Evil saying behind me while he was trying to calm Tal down with a granola bar. We have 12 judges that need to examine 16 of the 30 entries we expected.
How do we solve this?

Well fear not, that silly incoherent story must have confused you. So we took matters into our own hands and bought Tal a ticket to Greece to solve their economical problems.
In the meanwhile the Judges are fed a constant stream of ModComp Entries and hats while we take our time to closely examine the entries, build new webpages, create artwork, exchange secrets with certain server owners and steal hats and items from the Irish.

If you're a judge we would like you to check your inboxes and reply as soon as you physically can that you received the files.
If you aren't a judge we would like you to patiently wait, in case of emergencies we still have a couple of granola bars left.

Further announcements to break the maddening silence of the judgement process will follow.
