Mani Admin Plug-in will be closing down...

Dear supporters of Mani-Admin-Plug-in,

Unfortunately, we have sad news today. We will be closing shops by the end of this month. The website will still be online until 01/01/2013. The reason for this decision was that we don't have enough manpower anymore to be dealing with the frequent updates for the source engine and all its different versions. Real life just simply does not allow for such time consuming hobby’s anymore. This was a tough decision, but from our point of view, it's better to bring it to an end now, than allowing it to continue to slowly fall apart on its own.

We want to give a really big THANK YOU to all of you who supported us during all these years. We have given M-A-P a great lifetime from being a simple server plug-in to becoming part of a huge community that has hosted M-A-P on their servers for all these years. We especially want to say thanks to:

So, after exactly 8 years with ups and downs, M-A-P has finally reached the end of its life. The initial release of Mani Admin Plug-in was V.1.0.0, released 30th December 2004. It’s been great running M-A-P with you guys.

Mani Admin Plug-in V.1.2.22.9 released & new site online

A new version of M-A-P has been released to deal with the lastest VALVe update. Please also update your gametypes.txt. Also, our new homepage has been launched. Due to technical reasons, we did not port the old user database, so it is necessary to reregister on the site.

Linux fix for v1.2Vd

There was a problem when compiling version 1.2Vd in Linux yesterday. That problem has been fixed and the binaries have been updated.

Please install the latest binaries (ma_build_date yields: May 5 2011).

Mani Admin Orange Plugin Updated - V1.2Vd

This release is a general bug fix release. Several issues have been open for a while and I took the opportunity to go ahead and clean these up.

Here is a list of what has been addressed:

Fixed the weapon info so refunding is possible again.
Updated MySQL statement syntax to conform with deprecation of TYPE statement in versions > 4.1
Fixed free menus to act like other menus. They will stay on now at increments of 5 seconds.
Fixed weapon_fiveseven from being restricted during ma_pistols rounds.
Updated wording for the comment for mani_admin_temp_mute_time_limit cvar. No functionality changed.
Added updates to banned_user and banned_ip for ma_unban.
If log level is set high enough, the mani_log_directory gets created if it doesn't already exist.

Mani Admin Plug-in Homepage Downtime

At the moment, the Mani Admin Plug-in homepage is not reachable unfortunately. We have contacted our website sponsor and informed him about the problem. They have told us that they are working on the problem. There is not much else we can do at the moment besides waiting until the problem is fixed by our hoster, sadly.

Updated gametypes.txt to reenable support for HL2: DM and all other gamemods

In order to deal with the latest updates from VALVe, it is necessary to update the gametypes.txt for all gamemods and to be running the latest V.1.2V binares you can download on the official homepage of Mani Admin Plug-in (ma_build_date Aug 30 2010 - if you're unsure about your build date, just overwrite the binaries in the addons folder with a freshly downloaded copy).

You need to download the latest gametypes.txt for HL2: DM from the link in the news posted on the frontpage and for all other mods (Cs: S, TF 2, DoD:S) from the gametypes.txt creator. Place it in your /orangebox/modfolder/cfg/mani_admin_plugin (for example: hl2mp, cstrike, tf, dod) folder while overwriting the current file. Restart your server then. This will reenable the HL2: DM support of Mani Admin Plug-in and should reenable all functions for other gamemods.

If you experience any problems, please try starting Mani Admin Plug-in loaded as VSP (VALVe Server Plug-in) and provide us a detailed problem description in our forums.

Update to 1.2V is now live

Mani-Admin-Plugin has been updated to work with the latest release of CS:S. Several signatures were broken and have been fixed. The update includes a new gametypes.txt file that is now used to maintain those signatures so future game updates will not require updates to the plugin binaries.
