Pyro is more popular, but heavy deserves new useful guns (tomislav and vanilla minigun being only useful).

How you know that doe. Valve wrote this somewhere? They should do updates for both, but we know Valve..

on scrap.tf is exactly showed how many points each team has
the number is still going up, even that many players arent active in tf2 anymore

I'm pretty sure pyro is still higher because the in-game percentages show the percent of people who chose which team, not the number of points the teams have
