Tonight is DAY ONE (of two) of the Sonic & All-Stars mega event, so at least some of you bastards better show up to play with us tonight. I've posted the tournament rules here:

The event starts at 9 and will run until 12. In reality, it'll probably start sometime after 9 when enough people are on vent. It doesn't matter if you show up late. Scores are going to be reset after every three races, and only your highest lobby score after a set of three is counted. This means you can keep trying for a higher score if you want.

Hello. There have been several good options for racing games that have been going on over the summer sale. If I had to choose, I would highly recommend that people take a good look at Shift 2 : Unleashed, Dirt 3, and F1 2012. These are in addition to the standing order to get Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed if you haven't yet done so.

Also, Dirt 2 is dirty cheap at 5 bucks, and deffo worth having even with Dirt 3 existing.

We're going to try out the Feed the Beast Modpack[www.feed-the-beast.com]. I picked up some dedicated hosting for the occasion so that the server doesn't have to run on poor ol' Ductbox anymore.

The address for the new server is 216.172.97.26:26025. There's a pinned thread in the discussion forum with all the details.

Tom and Jeff played their game, so the Blood Bowl league is back on track.

Everyone remember to log in and check your next match-up. Use the discussion thread here to coordinate play times if you need to. If possible, try to play at least one game per week.

Here is a list of fine games for well-adjusted, strikingly attractive human beings who would like to partake in the refined hobby of video gaming with their fellows. Keep an eye out for these games during the sale so that you too can be one of the cool kids. I'm making this list so I don't have to send out like five messages every time a game that rules goes on sale.

(I've mostly just added coop games for now. I will add any game anyone tells me to add to this list.)

Games required to be considered more than subhuman scum

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed (the dlc is worth it, but not required)
Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory

2-player Cooperative

Orcs Must Die! 2 (extra-super special good)
Dawn of War 2 + Expansion
Saints Row 3 (getting the full package is recommended)
Portal 2 (has an entirely separate co-op campaign that's supposedly nearly the length of the single player game)

4-player Cooperative

Magicka (buy the dlc)
Monaco
Castle Crashers (controller recommended)
Borderlands 2
Men of War: Assault Squad (crazy hard co-op real-time strategy)
Dawn of War 2 Last Stand mode - buy either Dawn of War II: Retribution or The Last Standalone. I recommend just getting Retribution, as it is a Good Game.
Sanctum (and Sanctum 2?)
Torchlight 2
Titan Quest + expansion
Iron Brigade - pretty good, but Orcs Must Die! 2 is still better. Get this if it goes very cheap.
Left 4 Dead 2 (I'd be up for playing it more, anyway)

Lots o' Players Cooperative

AI War (someday we'll finish a game) - really hard co-op real-time strategy. Recommend getting the full collection.
Half-life 2 - Synergy mod allows up to 10-player co-op. Supposedly it's very good.
Terraria - Big summer update is coming. I plan on putting a server up once that drops.
