@sheo i got banned a couple hours ago due to some steam thing being down like it wasnt working and i was playing perfectly fine last night then that steam thing happened and i got banned for a week after i figured out the whole insecrure vac server thing and now im banned until march 3rd you can check my bans i dont purposely get banned i only have 3 bans this year i jus dont have enough games for my bans to reset. So i was going to ask may i get unbanned cause of what happened ?

@sheo ,I almost got banned when steam was down as well! is there a way we can stop this from happening in the future or avoiding bans due to things outs of my control whether that pertain to valve or steam as a whole ?

i wasnt even trying of evading any ban, i was just waiting the days, i didnt got the second ban for joining the queue, i got it because i wrote in site chat and it insta banned me for "smurfing", i didnt logged in the second, i already had both accounts oppened on chrome, one normal and one in incognite mode, as i said, my first ban was valid and i accepted it, but the second one is actually ridiculous.. i have to wait 2 more days for nothing..

@Kat , I've checked your appeal. The mod's response wasn't very descriptive, but basically you confirmed that the account from your ban reason belongs to you, therefore, the ban is valid, and the appeal was closed. You can't log in on the site from the 2nd account if your 1st one is banned, that's written in the rules, and that's why you received this ban for smurfing

Sheo i did a ticket "6685", because i got ban on my main 2 days after my real ban on my alt account, the real ban ends 22, but because of this now ends 24, you only answered "okay"..

Now i realized that i have another ban on my alt for "duplicated account", that is still "unknow yet", i cant make ticket because it says i have to wait 6 months, my question is, when the real ban ends this 22, what will happen?, because im still having the other ban until 24 and another ban that is not accepted yet for "Duplicated account".

@sheo; I want to know how I can lift my ban so I can play in the center. I have a smurf ban, even though I only have one account and a personal PC at home. I want to submit an appeal ticket, but the admin closed the last one I submitted and didn't give me time to properly appeal my ban. @sheo, I need your help, because I want to play and I can provide all the proof that my account isn't a smurf account.

@sheo I had the same problem as my friend Aux. Steam couldn't sync L4D2 because at around 2PM steam crashed and wouldn't let me log in for some reason, causing me to be unfairly banned for 4 days.

@sheo Steam just caused me to miss my game. It wouldnt load sync no matter what I did please help. I dont deserve this. There was a surge in steam downs. I rarely get to play anyway and I really dont wanna be unable for a long time.

@sheo i get it, i used to report cheaters and griefers but most of them were declined because of not enough proofs and it disables me from reporting for half year if 12 last reports were declined so even report them is a risk.
anyway is there anything you will do about this problem? like ban them after many reports for griefing (in case past report were declined) or at least lower they mmr or make them lost more mmr if lose a game and gain less if they win, i know there are many declined reports because of not enought proofs and these crybabies keep throwing games

Hello, I’m here to comment on what just happened to me. I was playing normally, I was winning, about to enter the shelter, and it crashed (only for me). I try to get back in, but it doesn’t let me. I start recording to have evidence, and in the end, it still doesn’t let me enter. They take away 97 MMR from me, something that hadn’t happened because it’s the first chapter of a campaign. I notify through the center chat that I can’t enter, and I get banned for 2 days. It was weird because it wasn’t my fault; it wasn’t my electricity or internet.

@어디 있을까? 보고 싶어 , we do process reports for griefing, however, we need evidence to ban a player. The easiest way to collect evidence is to enable Steam Game Recording, and make clips when someone griefs, or stops properly playing from map 1, to report them

just lost like 300 mmr in like 15 lost games in a row because of griefers who wants to !gg since first chapter becauseor losing or a single mistake of someone, its so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying

sheo is there anything you can do about boosted mmr and griefers players? i mean those ones who dont get banned for "griefing" because of not enough proofs and do something like ban them with enough reports or lower their mmr so games are more balanced. I swear im stuck months ago with this mmr because of 7k or 6k mmr who play like 3k, some unranked players with like 7k or 8k mmr since center reopened and so on.

@Woah , you need to play games without leaving. We count number of bans for leaving in the past 100 games, to calculate the length of the new ban

Good evening, how can I reduce the ban time on my account, or how does the system work? If I get another ban for inactivity, for obvious reasons, I'll be banned for a month, and I want to know how to reduce it to just hours or days. It's frustrating not being able to play Center for a month, or even two months if I get banned again.

sheo, i got 2 questions: if i wanna appeal the smurfing ban (not guaranteed unban), i gotta buy the suscription in my linked accounts or in the banned one? is it enough if i buy the basic plan or i gotta buy premium?

it's just because we have 4 maps and for every single map there's a break inbetween so all 8 players can each individually wait a total of 5 minutes each so it stacks making games take forever

@sheo could you consider adjusting the ready up wait time for cases like people going afk midround or not readying up fast enough (after the first match). every game takes an extra half an hour because people don't want to ready up fast enough. csgo's 3 minutes might be good

@Aoi , these bans aren't appealable, unless it's an issue on the server's or valve's side
+ it's your 5th ban in 39 games, which is a lot

@sheo i installed parish overgrowth before i got banned the first time but i just looked now that you mentioned it and now its not there so i guess that was the issue thank you for the help. is there any possible way i could get spared a ban penalty just this once because 6 days is egregious please.
