New game servers

I've now created servers for us on...

Alien Swarm
Left 4 Dead
Left 4 Dead 2
Counter-Strike Source
Day of Defeat Source

If we ever want to play these games individually or as a group, they're running right now and if they aren't used much in the future, I can take them down until we want to play a game. In particular the Left 4 Dead servers can help us avoid bad automatically selected servers when we want to play games.

I'm going to password them with the latest group password to stop auto matchmaking from filling them up with random people; PM me for it if you don't have it.

The new Kernel Panic server IPs have been changed to the following:

Private - 206.212.249.251
Spacebuild - 206.212.249.252
Private 2 - 206.212.249.253
RP - 206.212.249.254

Now we can FINALLY identify them individually and won't have any problems with joining/favoriting them. :DDD

TeamSpeak Server

Admins! Join the new Kernel Panic TeamSpeak server so we can use voice communication outside of any game or server we're in! Useful for discussing ways to punish players in the Gmod servers or finally being able to use voice chat in other games, such as Sins of a Solar Empire ;D

Best of all, it runs in the background and uses a different key to chat, and is crystal clear, unlike Steam's lossy chat system.

Welcome aboard the new Adminstrator + Two new rule additions

I am happor to announce Opa435 is the newest addition to our administrative team. :D

He has proven himself as a moderator and I think it's high time he had a chance to prove himself as an Administrator.

In other news, we have two new rules in light of Kilamanjaro joining the server and shedding light on them. This means we now have 13 rules... o.O The change has already taken affect on all servers except the private ones, which take more work to do, and I am too lazy to at the time being.

12. We do not give second chances to banned users. If someone breaks the rules sufficiently enough to be banned, they will not be unbanned, so do not ask.

13. Never attempt to make "deals" with administrators, for example, "If you don't unjail me, right now, I'm going to really get angry". These are considered threats and will get you banned.

Hooray more reasons to ban people! *Applause*

I don't want you to feel pressured by the popular opinion of the users on the server. Often they will bug you about how you are wrong and say you shouldn't have done something, but the fact that you were chosen to be an admin means we trust your opinion and your judgement over the others. If we wanted those people to be in charge, they would have been promoted already. It's a sad fact that the idiotic majority of Gmod players are also the most vocal, and some of them can even type coherently, but don't be fooled.

They usually don't know what's going on, and sometimes will tell you you're being "abusive" when, in fact, you're just keeping them in line. Don't let this bother you. The only people who can keep you in line are your fellow admins, but you're trusted and expected to stay within reasonable limits yourself and not be abusive as they say.

We've lost a few admins to their hunger for more power, and hate to see it happen. We do not promote anyone for asking or hinting. When users brag about themselves in order to try to be promoted to a higher rank, it bugs us and they're much, much less likely to ever be promoted (See Whisker Biscuit, Corporate Penguin, Lt. D. Doss...).

Anyway, please try to be harsh enough on the players that you keep the ones who deserve to build in peace free to do so. There are so many thousands of Gmod players that we can afford to ban many morons and griefers every day.
