If we are talking revival of old games, one must not forget Carrier Command.

FTL, Endless Space, XCOM... It seems 2012 will go down as a great year for the revival of several classic formulas. I for one am thrilled to have a new and high-quality space/sci-fi roguelike, 4X TBS, and tactical TBS to play around with. These are good days in gaming land.
