The FIrst Icelandic Kingdom is a glorious kingdom ruled by yours truly. It lies in the north Atlantic and is incredibly expansionist. During the 1810s it broke free from Danish Rule and a sudden rush of British and Scandinavian migrants locked when rare mineral deposits and ore which when refined produced incredibly lightweight materials, were found in Iceland and in recently conquered Greenland. The next 100 years proved prosperous for the kingdom, with the first royal family being from the main secessionist party, of English descent, it became rich, but also very Culturally English, with the language becoming second only to the native Icelandic. It was also a major funder of scientific firsts, including aviation. Due to it's Alliance with Britain and France, a WWI-type situation never escalated with the natural disintegration of the Austro-Hungarians meaning Franz Ferdinand was never assassinated. It has a protectorate in the form of Norway and is strong allies with Great Britain and the Continental United States, regularily borrowing and improving their allies' already great Air forces.
