Hot Mess Community - Our dear friend and colleague, Rurouni, has made a decision to retire the Hot Mess EU servers, at least for now, so he can focus on other life priorities. The servers will go down on 20 July, but Hot Mess maintains a strong partnership with the other EU groups, and will continue to help support a positive international competitive community. I want to take a moment to thank Rurouni for his technical expertise and exceptional leadership over the past year, I couldn't have asked for a better partner. Rurouni will continue to be involved in Hot Mess, and will assist with the NA servers as time permits. Please join me in thanking Rurouni for all he has done for our community.

In an effort to bring unity to the international competitive L4D2 community, the primary server groups are now working together to enforce a majority of policy-related bans across all servers. What this means is if you're banned on one group for rage quitting, you'll likely be banned across all groups participating in this partnership. Today, if a player is banned on one group, they simply choose another server to play on. The goal of this partnership is to help deter players from breaking rules.

As of now, Fair Play, Fabulous Mix Servers, and Hot Mess are participating in this alliance. In the future, additional groups will join this effort as well.

Thank you for helping to make the international competitive L4D2 community a better place.

- Fixed derp typos in the Zonemod 2v2 config.
- Fixed a derp in l4d2_pickup.smx causing error logs.
- Cosmetic Correction in Rock Selector.

- You can now shove Hunters that are Walking/Jumping (This means you still can't shove them in mid-pounce)
- Fixed the unreliableness and inconsistency of shoving Hunters off teammates.
- Water Slowdown now only applies to the Survivors outside of Tank Fights, Tanks never suffer from Water Slowdown.
- Melee Weapons: Knife and the Tonfa have been removed from within the Config.
- Melee Weapons: Hardcoded Melee spawns are now random, this means that for example in Parish 2 start saferoom you might have a cuttable melee.

My fellow Europeans. Looking for improved L4D2 games? Tired of unbalanced teams? Getting sick of no one in your team communicating, or hearing only "cyka, blyat" the whole game? Solution: PLAY A PUG! The difference between pug and a mix is that players meet in mumble.(No more waiting in lobbies). IP is posted in mumble, captains are selected, they're often the two strongest players in the game, or at least two players that know other players in the game, so teams can be balanced. Currently pugs are played mostly on American servers, and we do choose closest (New York) server if there happen to be EU players. Don't worry, Hotmess offers European servers too. Requirements for a pug: You need to install mumble, and have at least basic communication skills in English. Just a reminder, to load The Saccing (aka Pacifice) on Hot Mess, you simply need to load your chosen config (Promod, Acemod), and then type !mapset thesaccing.

All Hot Mess servers returned to their original 100 tick glory, enjoy!

All servers upgraded to Promod 5.0.3, as well as updated to address the "chair" fix on Dead Center map 3, fixed in Acemod, EQ, Promod, and Hunters. Thanks NF for the fix.

Removed forced hunter crouch sound.
Fixed some stat prints not working in 1v1 configs.
Fixed auto jockey hops not loading in main config.
Blocked spit damage inside Dead Center 1 and 4 elevators.
SMG spread increase when moving reduced from 3x to 1.65 and 1.75 (uzi / silenced)
SMG spread increase per shot reduced from .32 / .40 to .20 / .26 (uzi / silenced)
In other words, SMG sprays are now much less random while moving. Please give feedback so numbers can be tweaked.
