I've just been hijacked... I only figured out when one of my friends told me.

I honsetly have NO idead how it happened

Mad dog, the same thing happened to my account too :P a friend sent a thing saying that if i logged into the steam site i could get the demo for l4d2, and i wasnt thinking straight and signed in, the next day my account was disabled and the email and password had been changed, but i got it back the day after that thanks to the real steam :)

O, as you probably guessed when it asked for my info I put it in.....then I knew I was breached when nothing happened (it just reloaded the page).

I was hijacked on 8/5/2009. A friend sent me a link with a funny message that sounded like something from him, so I clicked. It was a steam community page that asked me to enter my account name and password to log in. (I was taking an online Spanish test for school at the time so plz don't burn me for the following). Almost imediately I knew my account was breached and scrambled to change my password....too late. "This account has been logged in from a different computer..." My fate was sealed. I put in a ticker following steam support guidelines. (Just google "steam account hijacked" because I don't want to put a link on here- fear links. lol). From there steam will retrieve your account (i'm still waiting but its only been a few hours so far). I will update. Please share your experience and suggestions (no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ suggestions like "don't give your account away blah blah blah- DUH- ♥♥♥♥ happens though) to help future victims! I'm here to help so post questions here.
