I haven't done anything with this group, so I thought it was time to put it to use.

I decided to make a pros and cons list as to what the tv seires, and ultimate series succeed and fail in. Here we go.

TV series

Pros:
*Great gothic and dyre atmosphere and art style
*Wonderful character designs
*Grade A character development.
*Gothic and freaky musical track

Cons:
*Storyline after episode 6 sucks
*The animation quality varies, sometimes it's great, sometimes it's mediocre, and sometimes AHHH, MY EYES!!!!
*Non manga characters are forgettable, especially Incongnito

Verdict: It's a great start if you're new to Hellsing, just keep away from ep7+

Ultimate series.

Pros:
*The storyline is nothing short of amazing.
*The animation, while it does have it's goofs, is very rich and detailed.
*The villains are actually cool and intimidating (take that, Incognito!)
*Characters that were not included in the TV series are awesome!

Cons:
(Most of these mainly address the first OVA, alot of this doesn't apply to the later episodes, which have improved on the following)
*Character development isn't as good as it was in the TV series, at least not until recently.
*No atmosphere whatsoever, and the art style doesn't suit Hellsing.
*Speaking of art style, the character designs are ugly sometimes, with those ugly faces. And have you seen the teeth and hands? Ugh!
*The soundtrack doesn't sound like Hellsing at all, it sounds like filler music.

Verdict: The first OVA isn't exactly breathtaking, but the ones after it get better and better. Give it a watch if you want the true Hellsing experience.
