Skill Tree Open Beta - your thoughts

"Today is the day"

Overkill introduced their new beta plans to overhaul the skill system, started with MM tree today.

The subtrees are not really needed and make that thing unnecessary complicated, so i think they missed the point a bit.
In the past a lot of people ask for a rework, but what Overkill introduced today, was not that, what people asked for a long time ago.

Don't understand me wrong, i find the idea and the timing great, have also new inspirations for new builds.

But what the showed today make me also a bit contemplative what will happend to our beloved game in the near future.

So what do you think about that massive incoming changes?

Heisters,

What an exiting month was for our group, as you probably noticed from the last couple annoucements, some stuff has changed, some confirmed cheaters and scummers got removed and some awesome new Heisters joined our group, i want to thank each member for your patience, a lot of time was used to achiev this but all well spent, after this small intro, let's go to the most important part:

After a few weeks of thinking about,we, admins and moderators asked ourselfs, how we can keep our group clean and fresh for legit heisters? The time has come,we announce our resume today!.

First step: As you noticed since few weeks the group is switched back to invite only!

Second step: After the recent events private profiles are not allowed (DO NOT affects your inventory)!

Third step: All the new members will be checked via pd2stats.com, steamrep.com - also their achievement time and dates!

Fourth step: No advertising, spamming or scamming in the group or in any member profiles!

New rules are in force with this announcement.
(Our admins and moderators are always open to discuss if you have any doubts, concerns, or if you want to comunicate to us something)

That's it guys ,we hope that the new changes can find all of you in agree, and that each member are happy about this few, but important changes, to keep this group 100% legit ,clean, fun and cozy for old and for the future members that i'm sure will come.

P.S.For our members that are BLT users,we want to recommend the use of Lobby Player Info and NGBTO mod if your not already, to keep your lobby clean from cheaters!

Changes to Heisters.net

It's been a quite a mess this past couple weeks, as a result the group is now Invite Only, the only members who can invite others are Moderators and Officers, and two of our members have been promoted. We also want stronger enforcment of our anti-cheat and anti-hack policy so Public Steam profiles might become mandatory.

First off, congratulations to Paratus and CAS who have boh been promoted to Moderator. As previously mentioned: only mods can invite new people into the group, so as of now only 8 people have that power, thus in time we'll probably recruit new mods.
With the changes to recruitment comes changes to how we enforce the rules. Many of the heisters close to me as strongly against cheating, I am too, and one of the three rules of the Heisters' Network: No Hacks. To enforce this rule effectivly we use tools such as PD2stats, but that only works on public steam profiles. If you don't want your profile public, or you disagree with how crazy paranoid we get about cheaters, it might be best we part ways. To make the statment clear and official:
Private Profiles will be removed from the Group in the weeks to come.

Finally, Heisters.net now has a Discord, if you don't know it, its sorta like Teamspeak. If you want to join the Discord, sen me a message and I'll send you an invite.

It's back to Invite Only

With the recent wave of cheaters joining the group, weeding them out has become more work then we want to do.

The group is now back to invite only, Admins and Mods will be able to invite
people to the group.
If you are not steam-friends with an Admin or a Mod and want to join the group, you'll have to post in the recruitment forum.

I think it might also be good for us to clean up the group and tie up any loose ends. So expect more on that soon.
EDIT: I'm am first going to go through an remove member who haven't been active on steam for a few months.

Like the topic says, i removed some "members" permanent out of this group. Some has hacked achievments btw are hackers, some stalked group members, provocated with spam or did advertising for DLC Unlockers or hacks against well trusted players.

If sometings unusual in your profile, espacially in that case, plz post it here in the thread.

Stop The Cheater by FishTaco

First, many thx to Paratus for the hint. One of Last Bullets best modders, FishTaco (very nice & funny Host too) released another very effective BLT mod against all evil in

It' works hidden & automatic in the background. I hope nearly everyone install that mod and in some weeks public DW lobbys should be playable again.

Featurette:

"Made it so it it forces the cheater to re-enter the slow motion every 13 seconds."

The best feature is, the slow motion works also if you are NOT the host
