Played for years between KINGPIN, Q2, Q3, played Q3CTF competitive OGL clanned with DeadlyD, Cowboy, Muad'dib, (others I forget) in [SoW]. Soldiers of War.

Any of you guys remember the heat.net interactive screensaver??? You could control a heat.net UFO and manipulate the cows (and people?) below... I can't find any evidence of it ANYWHERE. Please tell me I'm not crazy lol.

I played on heat.net from '97 till its demise. Played mainly quake 2, used ign r1sktaker. I would be on the quake 2 dm servers or the quake 2 team ctf servers. I miss the format heat.net used for the lobbies and launching games.

I used to be Dukey2 on Heat.net . Mainly chilled in the Quake 2 lobby. Miss those golden days...

Total annihilation was years ahead of its time. I miss playing that and Quake while listening to the Hackers soundtrack.

Miss those days in Quake II edge and maingate as k3rnij or k3rn3lkill3r. Was good being young. Migrated from heat.net to mplayer then to gamespy arcade.

I played in Clan 5 as c5lMaximus, a quake clan on heat.net and competed with other clans such as MAAS. After heat.net died after the summer of 2000, I moved to mplayer :)

I played competitively in Age of Empires and Age of Empires II, I was GeneralMercenary and later LordMercenary on Heat.net . I'm looking for old friends like Doomsday, ZephyrusX, and even that scrub ImmortalClubman (Clubby). Oh and who can forget Flubber?

Forgot to ask, does anyone have a copy of DeathDrome (sp)? I remember it being a Heat exclusive game like TenSix, but it was a openish world Tron-style game.

Was a moderator from 97-00 in the Quake lobby with HeatCrow. Lots of fun times on Heat, unfortunately Chips & Bits didnt ship to Canada, I had close to $700 in degrees that went unspent.

I was just chatting with some friends about old time gaming and SiN came up. I actually was a game moderato/referee for many Heat.Net SiN competitions way back when. Pretty sure my name on there was sp00ge (as I've been using that handle for decades now).

Roadkill, you can probably simulate the connection you need using Hamachi. I've played a number of old games over it. You'll probably have to install an IPX protocol.. it was a lot easier on XP, I haven't looked into it on 7.

Hell yes I miss Heat.net . Man... so many Blood, Duke3D and Shadow Warrior deathmatches. Gawd... those were the days. I wish there was another Heat.net type service so I could play Two Forts in Blood again with my friends. Never-ending supply of proxy mines piled in one area + random spawning = hilarity.
