Another possible phishing scam. This time the person is using the name "Admin" and has the Steam logo as his avatar. He joined this group and then sent me a chat invite. There is never a reason for the Steam admins to join a group in order to contact you. If someone from Steam needed to contact a user for any reason it would be via email and even then it would be _after_ you submitted a support ticket and yet I would go to the website manually instead of clicking on any link.

They are joining to spam the online uses of the group with a link to a site that is made up to look like a Steam Community login page. DO NOT CLICK ON IT! The Community login page never asks for your user name and email address, the real one only as for the user name and password.
Remember if you're going to go to Steam's website using your browser uses either a bookmark you made or Google it if need be and use that. NEVER click on links that someone you don't know gives you in PM or emails.
