I could get 100 of these and say I was selling them for 2 buds each and I'd never have any success because nobody wants to pay that much for this bird.
Sorry butthurtprofitmongers, but the idea behind the valve merch is that you don't buy it for the ingame item. There's the ingame store for that.
Let's artificially inflate the price of an item for selfish personal gain. WHEEEEEEE!!!
Traders aren't retarded. Have fun never affecting the price.
Nah.
Just add me and We'll discuss the price !
http://www.reddit.com/r/tf2trade/comments/yk9ji/psa_i_believe_the_tf2_pricing_spreadsheet_at/
Spreadsheet price: 14-16
Outpost price: 10-12
tl;dr: A well invested item in TF2 market should keep its standard value, and only depreciate under fair circumstances. If the standard is corrupted by the "spreadsheet," then it will create a panic as more and more items become manipulated. An unusual is a good example as said investment. In this instance, it is the Genuine Archimedes/Balloonicorn.
I will only accept the Gen. Archimedes dropping by a bud if more are re-distributed. The same thought process the Gen. Balloonicorn underwent when an official re-release of the Gen.Balloonicorn was processed. If the nexus of the TF2 trading structure is based on the spreadsheet bias of its editors, then I want no participation in it.
My motion for an injuction towards the value drop of the Genuine Archimedes below 1.5-2.0 buds still stands.
Is the value the affirmative of what the spreadsheet says for years to come? I know some other Genuines are worth only a few ref and so forth, but this one and the "Gen. Balloonicorn" have been given a standard value of 1-2 buds. I see justification for the Balloonicorn to drop as more entered the market place, but not for the Gen. Archimedes. by entire bud out of nowhere. 1-5 keys, okay. Since, it was a bit cheaper than the balloon. The standard value must stay as a "standard" for all future generations to seek refuge in understanding that once the economy places a standard on one item of the same category, the next is given a similar stance. The Gen. Archimedes and Gen. Balloonicorn are held in their own genre.
I will raise my Genuine Archimedes up from 1 bud to 1.5 Bud(s). When a favorable item becomes "scarce" to people, it is supposed to go up in value, not down; unless determined to be non-contingent to society. Under those circumstances, the prevailer of value will drop the Archimedes as more jump into the market. Saturation causes the wind-fall of an item. If a Burning Unusual suddenly floods the market en masse, it doesn't matter how good it is--the value will drop as more access is given to the public. I would understand the Gen. Archimedes dropping by 30 keys in 3-4 weeks if more access was given to said item. Instead, it ran out in the shop. What if it doesn't re-stock?

Derp? :D
I hope the price keeps dropping thanks to people like this: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/4104331
12 keys and no one is buying it because it's still to high, the only price I've seen it sell for is 8 keys.
I also hope you'll be banned from outpost for trying to raise the price, like they did to all the BMOC scammers.
