Hello Everyone!
The owner and I have decided to discontinue our FuN RuSt Server. We hope to come back when the new experimental version of Rust completes its development and is released. But until then, we will be offline :( We also want to thank everyone for their support and for joining the steamgroup and playing on our server in its short-span of life. Please feel free to stay a member of the steamgroup in order to stay-tuned for our possible revival of the server later on. Until then, keep having FuN!

Wiped and Vanilla

The owner has already wiped and reset the server. We are going to see how well we do with a vanilla server for now. If we don't get as much traffic, then we might experiment with other mods down the road. You can now find *.*FuN RuSt*.* in the Community Tab!

FuN RuSt soon to be WIPED and REMODDED

The owner and I are going to wipe the server fairly soon. Probably within the next few days or in a week. We are going to experiment with running an oxide server so that we have our server listed in the community tab. When we wipe we hope to see an increase in population. We are also trying to secure more financial support for the server (please donate if you are able to!). So we will possibly be continuing hosting the server at least for the summer to experiment and see where the server grows. So just a heads up for anyone in this steam group who wants a headstart on the server when we do the next wipe! Thanks for reading, and please stay tuned for the next announcement for when the server will be wiped.

FuN RuSt will be discontinued

Hello everyone!

On behalf of the owner and myself, It is with our greatest heartfelt and sincerest regret to announce that FuN RuSt is planned to be discontinued in the next month. We appreciate everyone who took the time to join our steam group and play on our server for the past three months or so. We feel a sense of accomplishment at this point that we were able to gain such a big community in such a short timespan; however, due to many factors (Rust being an extremely underdeveloped game and having virtually no useful tools for admins, and also having to compete with the thousands of other servers currently active) we feel the cost of running and administering the server is not going to work out for us until the next version of Rust comes out and hopefully more tools will be at our disposal to run a more FuN server free of cheaters and griefers. Please understand that we really want to have this server flourish; however, the game is too broken right now to be able to do the things that we want. As a last personal note: I want to say that I am honored to have been your admin for the past few months and I am very grateful for all the new friends I've made since.

If anyone wants to help us continue providing a FuNRuSt server for our community, please take the time and donate to our server so that we can help better the Rust world community and provide a place to hangout, play, build, fight, and (most importantly!) have FuN! http://funrustserver.com/

Rules for FuN RusT

After being the main admin for FuN RusT over these past few weeks, I have witnessed both honorable and evil acts committed in our server. I'd like to post a few rules I have that should help keep a FuN Rust community that we can all mutually respect and (most importantly) have FuN on. These rules should be common sense to people who actually have a conscience and sense of morality. Also, these rules are grounds for immediate and permanent ban from FuN Rust when broken.

1) Cheating... Very simple conditional statement: If you cheat, then you are banned. Simple.

2) Disguising your username as an admin, or any other player in the FuN RusT community for the purpose of acting as an imposter.

3) Using exploits of the game in order to gain advantages not accessible to "normal" means of playing Rust. First offense will "sometimes" result in ONE warning--depends on the severity and intentions on the subject committing such an exploit.

This is by no means a complete list and is subject to change in the future.

PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE: ARENA MOD INSTALLED!

I am pleased to announce the installation of an Arena Mod to FunRust! We've just tested it out, and it is quite successfull and (most importantly) FuN! To participate in the Arena (or from now on known as Death Match Mode or DM for short) you use the following commands:

TO JOIN:
/dm join

TO LEAVE:
/dm leave

SHOW RANK:
/dm rank

SPAWNING GEAR: When you join the DM and when you respawn in the DM, you will be given 1) Full Suit Kevlar, 2) One of each weapon mod, 3) A random Primary weapon, 4) A random Secondary weapon, 5) 5 Large Medkits, 6) 5 Cooked Chicken

IMPORTANT TIP: When you die in the Arena, simply select RESPAWN (do NOT select "AT A CAMP"), and you will respawn in one of the random spawnpoints in the Arena.

IMPORTANT TIP2: If you respawn or join and you are teleported inside a foundation, try and jump out. If all else fails, simply hit F1 (for console), and type suicide. Then select RESPAWN. (Jumping out of the foundation should work though).

POSTLUDE: There is no way to organize teams, so we will just keep it as a free-for-all death match arena. It is too much work to organize when teams can start playing. So, anyone who wants to jump on into the arena, shoot some NeCkBeArDs and jump out. FEEL FREE TO DO SO! Please let us know if you have any comments, or if you like the Arena!

POSTLUDE2: I realize the Arena I built might be a little small for bigger death matches, so I will gladly start planning a much bigger Arena once we get more participation.

EXPLOIT: Please report if you find this exploit!

Today I witnessed and recorded (whose identity shall remain anon.) a Rust player on FunRust who built an exploit in game. Please look out for and report this exploit and I will go in and delete it (including all the crates and items inside).
The EXPLOIT: Building 1 ramp ontop of 1 foundation -- using this set up as a base/house to live in. It is an exploit, because it allows the insider (of the ramp) to shoot outside players, but the outside players cannot kill the insider in the ramp.

PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS EXPLOIT. PLEASE REPORT IF FOUND.

FuNRuST BOT Wipe!

Hello Everyone!

Our "friendly bot" did an Unscheduled Wipe! Sooo Sorry about that! He was supposed to wipe individual structures, based on player activity. Somehow he decided to do things his way. Again very sorry that happened! It will be fixed! Thanks for understanding!
