This is the first time I'm going to go explore a bit.
Jump in 15: Tyriedgoea TZ-G d10-3
I reckon at my current pace I'll be hitting the Guardian sites about 4kLY nearer to the bubble, in about a week.
So I'll just roll around in a SRV for awhile to collect some random guardian stuff, scan some obelisks and shoot resources out of brain trees.
Going to be offline most of today, stripping/cleaning/upgrading pc. And I'm busy most of tomorrow... Would like to get another hour or so in the area before we start jumping.
I've been to one in the past to get everything for the FSD booster but haven't been to another since. The guide you posted should help re-familiarize myself with dealing with them.
I've barely had a chance to play since we got here... Real life keeps getting in the way, as per usual. It's been a busy few weeks lol.
If you're sick of being out here, I'll turn back before weekend. On the other hand... If you're happy to stay out here for longer, I'm not in any rush...
I don't have a point defense module. That other FC wasn't selling them either. I have one in storage but it'll take 25 hours for it to get shipped out to our location. Suppose I can get that started now.

You have to drive around and collect some of the guardian items, and have them in your inventory when you're scanning the obelisks (those tombstone looking things, some of them will light up when you get close in an SRV).
Do you have a point defence module or two fitted? Make sure they're on top of your ship if you do... When we get to the place where we get the blueprints, there's Guardian sentinels (like Skimmers from human settlements) that will attack... They launch missiles at you, but if your ship is nearby the point defence will take them out.
If you don't have point defence, we can wing up over the weekend so I can provide cover.

I need to double check and see what I need exactly. I think mainly just the stuff for the corrosive cargo container but mainly to help you farm some stuff.
Will hop out this evening and do some exploring.
If I've remembered it correctly, we should be jumping to the orbit of a moon with Guardian ruins on it.

You can grab the things required in and around tomorrow's destination, but it's HIGHLY unlikely the carrier will make it back before the CG ends. 9000Ly in a Caspian with a couple of cargo racks shouldn't be too painful... Don't fancy doing it again so soon myself lol.
Eta Carina Sector EL-Y d16
This may change. Can't remember if it's one with the thing you need to get the blueprints or not. Hoping it is, it's the only one I've bookmarked in the area lol.
While it's not the biggest example I've seen, It's too big to scan. The rings in the nearest gas giant, which look rather impressive from the surface of the small moon nearby; you'd need about 15 of them side by side to cover the diameter of the star's ring...
That's not the fun part though. You might see it on approach to the carrier. You might not...
From certain angles the stars ring can be near impossible to see. Keep an eye out for the "IMPACT" warning when you think you've got a clear run ahead of you ;)
Will be on in a couple of hours to get the last jump from yesterday done: CPD-57 3520
Found a sweet little mining spot between waypoints...
I did switch back to my AspX for now just because I was having a harder than normal time trying to land the Caspian on rugged planets. I've read a few different things about, mainly how it's supposed to be easier because the landing gear is so massive, and it is. The SRV gets drops from the hold.
I have been updating the carrier on edsm/eddn/inara, occasionally... Think the last time was about a week ago. I keep forgetting lol.
