You are most welcome, I agree it's too hard to tell at this point of it's truly fixed cam or not, one to watch regardless though, looks pretty cool.
10 Tem 2025 @ 4:41
Hmm. Yeah, I like the setting and the aesthetic, really compelling. I think I need to see a little more before adding it to our SACRED AND MOST HOLY LISTS, WE MUSSSSSST PROTECT THE LISSSSSTS but I'll keep an eye on it... =) Thanks The Teratoma!
9 Tem 2025 @ 13:49
Ooh if nothing else I love the PS1 aesthetic!
Neat, I'll be following that one, cheers. :reimpressed:
9 Tem 2025 @ 13:27
Now, I'm not totally sure if this is fixed cam or not, but the trailer certainly makes it look like that might be the case.

Holy cow, Parasensor looks fantastic - that's a heckuva trailer and I love to see painted backgrounds. Much obliged, The Teratoma. =)

Hey, glad you like it @sky ! Honestly, I think I need to rework it - it's not really a logo yet. But thanks. =)

I admit I forgot about that one! :trolol:
The curse of being inundated with dozens of backlog at any given time.
About how long do you think it took? I might give it another looksee

Hey, anybody played Lost and Damned? Just finished it. Acres of jank aside, it's actually really impressive - has lots of features commercial horror games leave out (eg. hurt animations) and it's ultimately a perfectly cromulent Resi clone. Good use of dynamic lights, creepy scripting, HL2 assets. Some very annoying movement collision issues, a couple of setpieces which are too ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard for their own good, no kinda story, but... yeah. It's all there. I'm left wondering how much of the game is hard-coded and how much is in-game scripting...! Lots of... odd references and entertaining sequences...! Worth a try if you like quirky mods and fixed multicam...!

Glad you like it, @F4JJ1911 ! Let us know if there's anything we can do to improve. =) And check out our lists in the Discussions forums , we've the most complete lists of fixed camera games anywhere (I think!).

nice one, exactly my type of games with "fixed camera" old shool gaming from times like RE2.

An interesting project - Don't Drink the Water ! A mod implementing Fixed Multicam in the Half-Life 1 / GLDSource engine...!
15 Oca 2023 @ 16:47
I'd love to add The Moonlight Motel to our list of Steam games on the right, but unfortunately there seems like there's an issue with the game home page. Still - definitely worth a visit, some creepy shenanigans going on there!

Websites are harrrrrd! And people expect content. Rrrg. And we need to sort out that logo.

I dunno, man. Put Detroit in it? Put Man of Medan into it? =D Okay, they're older games too. Shin Chan's fairly new...! The thing is, I think the approach has some fundamentally interesting elements and gameplay value quite aside from the nostalgia value... Something like the Roguelike Celebration / sale could draw some eyeballs towards the approach, drive some sales and get people thinking about it more as a underappreciated technique for making games.

I mean, I don't think there's ever going to be a giant shift towards fixed multicam as a mainstream gameplay approach, but if adventure games could carve out their own healthy little niche, why not fixed multicam (tough to build and acquired taste though it is...!)?
12 Ara 2022 @ 19:03
A convention for us oldies while the newgen balks at how awkward everything looks? :special:
I could get behind that. But yeah something like that would be unique and a little different from the genre-type festivals.
12 Ara 2022 @ 18:53
Just thinking of all the great indie fixed multicam games that have been out and announced recently (The Hotel, The Night of the Scissors, Broken Pieces, Shin Chan, etc.), you'd think there's enough there to do some kinda mini festival or something on Steam? Roll in some of the older games like the original Alone in the Darks, White Night etc... And we'd have loads of games that we could do demos of, etc...
27 Ağu 2022 @ 5:04
I had no idea what it was! =D
27 Ağu 2022 @ 5:02
Haha wow, 3d movie maker.. I spent way too much time on that back in the day then I care to admit. That was good fun :steamhappy:
20 Ağu 2022 @ 16:38
Currently wondering if we need to include 3D Movie Maker [en.wikipedia.org] in one of our lists. We're the rats...

Alone In The Dark's Emily Hartwood [imgur.com] - as far as I know, the first polygonal female lead character in gaming. The exact release date is proving tricky to pin down (June 1st? August 3rd?), but the year was 1992 - which makes this year the 30th anniversary of fixed multicam survival horror. It'd be nice to start giving Emily her share of the spotlight...!

UPDATE: Welp, seems like that's wrong! AFAIK (now), the first playable 3D female gaming character appears to be... any player-designed female character in the game 4D Boxing (1991) ! Interestingly enough, it's kind've a fixed cam game...!
29 Eki 2021 @ 13:16
And Fear the Dark Unknown? :steamhappy:
