I have been promoted to Captain, and given the 6th Louisiana Tigers Company A "Italian Guards/European Brigade" to command, i thank Captain Vaesen for everything he has done for me. Also i promise this company and mine will work hand in hand in events, skirmishes, drills, and i will help my friend Chris at every point i can! Hoorah for the Confederacy! In today (5/7) event we were victorious over the NY and WI Union boys! After a poor start to the battle the Captain that was in command of the company was killed, which left me in charge. I had the boys get behind a stone wall and we repulsed the enemy. They were shooting from the woods and once we had cut down several of the Union boys i ordered a right flanking maneuver, we stopped, fired a volley, and charged into the tree line. Firing and advancing behind cover of trees we pushed the yanks back down the hill and i got the final kill by my sabre of the Union Captain! Recruit Carter showed real heart in battle and followed orders well, he got his first taste of battle and was 1 of 4 men left still standing at the end of the skirmish, therefore i have decided to promote him to Private! Congradulations boys, great event, and i look forward to seeing you on the 21st!

ATTENTION FIRST VIRGINIA, this sunday 2pm ET we have drill/skirmish....i would expect anyone who can attend will show. May 21st is a big skirmish amongst us and several well respected companies in the CSA, I would hope hope all members of the 1st VA CAV would get together this sunday to become friendly and familiar with one another and the drills/tactics of our company to help us become victorious on the 21st!
