Prime status offers a much better gaming experience when you play ranked matches. You'll be matched with other Prime players, who typically take the game more seriously. This means fewer cheaters and smurfs to worry about, creating a better atmosphere for competitive play.

But now that Prime isn't free anymore, you'll need to invest a bit to access this beneficial feature. The price may vary, but many players find it worth paying for the extra security and gaming experience Prime status provides.

Even after obtaining Prime status, you still need to reach level 21 in the game to play in Premier or Comp matches. So you still need to put in some effort to get there, but having Prime status at least enhances your experience along the way.
