Lessons of the scrim!

1) Stick together! Don't clump up within the blast radius of a single sticky, of course, but work as a coherent unit. Spawning medics should never attack without finding a teammate to heal, solo offense is discouraged except for scouts, and control points are always good staging areas.

2) Call out threats! The loss of a medic is pivotal, especially in small games like today's, so alert people to dropping soldiers, flanking scouts, and snipers. This goes for everyone - medics should alert people so they can get assistance, and others should alert medics so they can get out of the way.

3) We did quite well. :) Gnomish's team is probably the best in the Western conference, having Taronish and Gnomish on their team gives them some serious scout output, and we were missing our 2nd- and 3rd-round picks, yet we tied them overall. Today should be very encouraging for the team!

Join fs| chat before team events!

It's helpful to have everyone gathered in the chat room before team events like scrims and games, just so we can see if we're short on people or if we need to tell everyone something. Let's start that beginning with this week's scrim - I'd love to have everyone in chat by 8:00 or 8:15 EST. Joining the chat will be non-mandatory but very helpful!

Thanks to everyone for joining promptly!

Looks like we're all here except for itsjames/child, who I'm sure will be right along. Nothing's scheduled yet for us, but I'd like to have some sort of team meeting by the end of the week, just to discuss basic strategy like class assignments and player rotations for matches, and it might be useful to have a single scrimmage this weekend. We'll see how that goes - for now, plan on having SOMETHING to do in the next few days.
