For all those uaware, Nik is taking a much needed break from TF2 and in the mean time has been respectfully retired from admin. This means we may take a new admin on board with applications in the near future!

@Nik, they cannot advertise or invite people to groups, they can give an admin the prize to hold for mass events and that is it, they cannot hold the prizes, etc

Yea this has been a big issue on US, there have been MANY players that have come in wanting to do a 'fashion show' or 'giveaway' of some sort. Not always promoting another group etc but does tend to disrupt the server greatly. My current response until I'm told otherwise is 'I'm happy to take the items u have and do an Event, however we can't allow you to run Events on the server, it's too much of a disruption". More often than not they are happy to donate the items and do an event, I understand this has been difficult due to technical issues pertaining to plugins etc. Anyway hope we can discuss this on Sunday :)

So someone asked me this the other day, just wanted to ask for clarification.
He asked me if it was alright to hold mass spycrabs and he'll be giving the winner a key, he said he doesn't want people to pay. So basically it'll just be a mass spy crab but he'll be giving away the prizes. I said he can only do it under admin supervision.
But the thing is, he has a group specifically for mass spycrabs. As I knew about the group, I told him he wasn't allowed to advertise the group in any way, he was fine with that.
I don't know if he'll be advertising the server to join on his group, I can ask if. Would that be ok?
Otherwise EGC can post an announcement when he wants to hold it or whatever~

I don't know if Zerobeast is a donator but someone needs to discuss with him that posting racist and ignorant statements on EGC servers is a big NO! ESPECIALLY when I've warned him to stop more than once. I'd love to see this one flushed for good, he isn't going to change and saying ♥♥♥♥ like 'Hitler did nothing wrong' followed up by spammed swastikas is not on.

Hey guys just got asked a question relating to the new map. Is there going to be a 'private area' where spycrabs wont be 'messed' with? so ppl cant taunt etc?? Or perhaps can that be a consideration?? Just a suggestion from LemonJuice.

Issue with the !stats option reported by Lonely Tex states some music is spamming over like an advertisment. Anyway apparently can't use it, so yea.

@ MsFreakshow. I have spoken to Renault about the server's rules and having more respect for the EGC admins. He has decided to withdraw his EGC donator even knowing it is none refundable. Please contact me for more info.

We seem to be having a few issues with Renault, can someone please discuss with him that he is to obey the same rules as everyone else please? After trying to enforce the rules several times after he exploited his donator perks (killing enemy in spawn after asking me to port him in, also blowing up dispensers after Lucy asked twice for him to stop). He also posted multiple times 'Get Gud, Get ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥' in chat, asked to stop, had a sook about rules, removed his EGC tag and tried to '!killdonate'. This kid needs a serious reality check please.

Well we are reworking the forums, we are adding some new php blocks so we can customize messages shown on the forums and create our own custom pages. As soon as we figure out how to get this rolling we can create a donator rules page and link it to donators on the servers via the motd. We can either have it a command like /drules and that way when a donator is misbehaving admins can force them to see the rules by issuing a command, something like that sound good?

I definitely agree with Freak, the donator's need to be told a few house rules after given donator. Building to donator only areas, destroying rtd sentries/dispensers, etc.

Can we perhaps include in the next admin meeting a pdf file or something given to new donators explaining 'No building in donator only areas' etc?? I explain it to them, usually when I catch them doing it, but perhaps upon becoming donators they could get a copy or 'click to agree' some crap. Anyway just an idea, love u all long time.

hey guys just wanted to update u all, Kitty of Hell aka Drizz's gf also a donator has a private backpack and has been told by regs etc to unlock them and make public. She privately discussed with me why it's private and I feel it's a valid enough reason to remain private as it is an ongoing issue of safety involved. I told her that it's fine and not to worry but letting you all know. If u wish to privately discuss why or more info required msg me anytime :D

Just wanted to say a big special thanks to Lucy for the 'Command Guide' he did to help out admins like me who still don't understand or may not be confident using admin commands. Can clearly tell you spent a LONG time on this and I will forever greatful. Suggest it be given to ALL new Admins to EGC as it will assist in building more confident admins. <3 Lucy for Pres :P

Not REALLY bothering me, and I absolutely agree Allanon and LiMaaa I know it's just the 'wishful' thinking of children, I guess my original post was firstly to find out if anyone else has noticed this happening, but also to see how u all react and respond when u do encounter it. Thanks Allanon I will use ur wise ways if it is mentioned/discussed by these children in the future lol. But u have to admit when Gluten asked us about Chipi being Admin I nearly spat out my coffee lmfao. Honestly without knowing ALL of our longtermers or regs even all of our donators I haven't really experienced anyone worthy of the honor but I'll leave the hard work to Kerr and LiMaaa, I know I'm just the EGC muscle lol

I agree with allanon, i think its just kids being kids, but hey if it is really bothering you freak, we can always tell people to ease it up, same with the lenny face dilemma.

I see it also Freak, I also question the validity of it from our point of view, but to me its just the kids mucking around, e.g I dont think gluten has serious expectations of being admin, same goes for hoste. Dont really know about chipi but im assuming same. Far as I go, if anyone has serious thoughts about being admin, i tell them to walk the talk, community contributor, no spam etc, long term regular, then MAYBE they may be considered. The same process the rest of us went through. Id rather be short an admin or 2 for a while than to have someone unsuitable forever.

Hey discussed with Munt3d but wanted to discuss it with everyone else. May not be bothering anyone else but I've been seeing #ChipiforAdmin, #HosteforAdmin etc around and was asked by Gluten tonight about Chipi becoming/being an EGC Admin (denied by Munt3d, good enough for me lol). I'm not sure it's worth the hassle and I know it's just 'wishful thinking' from kids, but maybe something needs to be said or 'discussed' with regards to this insanity lol.
