Hey guys. We're starting up Effenshire again, it's done and operational. Official start is Thursday. Server is called "Effenshire (Reboot) - Lightly Modded (MAX 4)". Looking for as many of us to return as possible! 5 of us already.

Bring back effenshire so Icey, Kidd and I can mop the floor again.

It was a fun time in this server, I wish you all good luck in future endeavors and hope other game developers don't screw themselves over like Rust was ruined with the removal of blueprints etc.

Thanks for everyone's patience with the server issue this past week. The start of the problem was the "Anti DDOS" patch Facepunch released late last week - that changed the behavior of how the server handles packets which in turn exposed some of the plugins we run as being utter ♥♥♥♥ and causing the packet flood issue - in a nut shell. Some of you know I work full time and I have a life so I am not always immediately available to try and investigate and fix ♥♥♥♥, especially this past week because we're remodeing our office so I am pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ busy during the days and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ exhausted in the evenings.. so.. to those of you with patience and who've stuck around, thanks. Hopefully after we stabalize for a few days the pop will come back up. And to those of you who expect me to be around 24/7 and be able to instaly fix ♥♥♥♥ that goes wrong with the server, you can just stay off the server with your entitled ♥♥♥♥♥ attitudes (Morty, etc). Thanks!

I've updated the server a little early before the client patch is out (it should be out any minute, be sure to update your rust client) because I am going ot be busy until later tonight... SOO..

Any plugin with a GUI is going to be broken until tomorrow (Facepunch has to fix this).

Events will be up tonight, late.. 9pm or so Pacific/Server time.

A buncha other plugins are broke, like Pets. You just gotta deal until the plugin devs can get them updated!

One day, i'll be as good of an RP'er as Who. He's the best RP'er i've ever seen, and i'm so glad to have met him outside his lakefront cottage. His table placement and knowledge of fine aesthetics really add to the immersion of his builds. Though often times small and quaint i've never felt more at home than when i'm sitting near the fire in his kitchen sharing stories over a delicately cooked and lightly breaded pork flank and hemp-green salad.

10/10. Would RP a relationship with him long-term.

Server is update 2/16/2017 - Rust IO broke again due to update. Should be fixed hopefully by tomorrow's 5AM reboot.

Had some issues with todays update.. I think it was plugin related and I may have worked them out.. we'll see.

Genocide i was banned a long time ago for joining a group of 2 who turned out to be a group of 3 ;( i didnt know but i was the one that got banned.

Bimbo, there are no Admins even on right now to kick you. The issues you are having are not caused by any admins here.

Ok got back into the server after the restart.. getting Rust back up now, fingers crossed!

Updated the OS today (Windows Updates) and the server is not coming back up from restarting. :( NFO Helpdesk is on it now, more to come...

My favorite RUST server, brought my daughter on once and took us 2 minutes to get mowed down by an AK, classic family bonding time while here that slush slush sound of an axe collecting my body fat

We are now running a Steam Checking plugin that prevents private profiles from joining the server. It also prevents some other things like VAC and GAME bans. ALSO, I've installed another plugin that prevents certain countries from joining (Russia, China, Korea) and also blocks VPN's (or claims to).

Been turning off some plugins to try and help the lag.. unfortunately some of the plugins we run just are not well optimized and hurt server performance. So if something appears... "off".. this is probably why. I want to reduce lag as much as possible, but hopefully not at the expense of the Effenshire experience.. it's a balancing act, in most cases...

Hi Volvo, I sent you a message on Steam. You were temp banned because you and your budyd put a lock on a base (that wasn't yours). That's specifically not allowed in the rules. You've been playing a long time yes, so I am not sure how you've missed that rule, considering it's announced specifically through the Notifier every hour or two, and also in /rules and on the website rules page. The ban will be lifted soon.

We switch to this server a couple of weeks and we came from a very toxic server to this one. It has been extremely fun so far and the community seems really cool. Admin is always there to take care of things and help you out. Thanks for having an awesome server.

For the weekend of Aug 19th through the 21st, The /Remove tool will work with RustIO Friends/Clan sharing. If you have friends who you KNOW are NOT coming back this wipe cycle, please help the server out by removing their bases. This will lower the entity count and help server performance! Thank you.

UPDATE IS LIVE. A few plugins broke, unfortunately. AntiOfflineRaid, Remover Tool and NextHeli are broken until they also get an update from the plugin maintainers.

Rust servers are being queue attacked. Restarting Effenshire now and installed a plugin to try and mitigate it. Hope it helps.

Sometime between 12:30 to 1:30am Saturday, my web host is restating some of their equipment. The server will be unavailable for roughly 5-10 minutes!
