Is Dear Wandy officially up there with the dodo now, then?

It's a crying shame. I know I frequented it on a "now and then" sort of basis but I always found lots of useful historical content and a generally friendly base of people to discuss new things / ask questions with. It would be a shame to fragment the forums (I agree with Optimaximal) so perhaps consensus on a completly seperate (individually independent) community location would be more preferable. I have to admit, having spent some time as a staff member for forums software in the past, that I wasn't keen on PunBB (not sure if that's why it was "hacked by Toxico" but still) so maybe other options for software could be explored. It's a shame all the past posts are lost and I guess I am surprised no backups are available? So who is running the redirect forums? I'm interested / happy to get involved if people are looking to do something collectively?

I think I would be very disappointed in people if they actually signed up to Heero Yuy's forum. The guy was a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ arse hole. Good riddance DW, you provided me with a summers-worth of troll-related entertainment and drama. Winding up dead beats was a minor hobby of mine for a while. ho hum.

okay this is a long shot, I got a PC built by Mr Wand about 2.5 years ago. Anyhow as the forum is down I've got no way of contacting him. The G card is bust and I was wondering if he know how to fix it. OR could send me an email. (James)

Yes. Got hacked on the 27th. A few peeps got in and posted as such on Wednesday night, but now it looks as thought Wandy has taken the whole site offline. Am bereft!
