Thanks!
And also thanks for joining the Dead Games Watch Steam Group!! :)
Found through Void Craft after wasting money and accidentally playing 5 hours
Note about the Steam Group:
I think there is currently a small Bug going on.
People with Private Profiles might not show up everywhere on the "Overview Page" and they might not show up on the "Members Page"
Hopefully, valve will fix this as soon as possible.
About your situation (from our perspective) :
I would not say that Hawx & Hawx 2 are Dead, but that does not mean that the situation (where you have to deal with) is not important.
Feel free to talk about it here on the Dead Games Watch Steam Group.
A question:
How exactly did you lose your Games?
Sometimes, we might get lucky when a community will (try to) revive a Dead Game to make it playable again in some form; but there is also the risk that companies might take the Dead Game Resurrections Down, because they want to keep the Games unplayable.
Hello jr.miqell
Thanks for your comment. :)
Our vision on Dead Games is different than others might think. I will try to explain it:
* When a Game has Always-Online DRM, then it has the requirement constantly to be connected to the internet / servers, in order to play it. This is what we call "a Game At-Risk"
* When a Company decides to close the servers of a Game with Always-Online DRM forever, then the Game (& the content) will become completely unplayable forever, for everyone. (If the company is not coming with an End-Of-Life Plan to keep the Game playable in some form.)
After the shutdown, there is NO legal version of the Game to play, but, there is also NO illegal version of the Game to play.
This is what we call "a Dead Game"
In matter of fact my very first experience with phenomenon.
I lost two games I played daily despite
I own Discs , and played singleplayer mode only.
I am not 100% on sure Console versions, but since there are numerous functional emulated 2022 examples in wild.(youtube)
Btw I have tried (on appropriate OS & HW) over years all fixes, cracks, pirated versions...some worked for day or two, then identical failure followed.
