DBS Community Staff Recruitment support

Over the passed couple of months the Staff at DBS has been growing thin, thus cutting down on development time and integration into the game. We have tried many different advertising / recruiting opportunities but none seem to work. Thus, we now turn to our fan based community to help provide the team with some support and recruitment / advertisement opportunities. If you want see DBS continue with development and help be apart of a community Recruitment support, please do the following below.

The following DBS Printout is 8.5 X 11 Inch size, your standard Printing Paper size. If you are currently in College or any type of school, with some type of Game Development or related courses. Please print out the Advertisement Flyer and hand / pass around to your fellow students and teachers or any other networking opportunities you might have.

You are not just limited to Colleges / Schools, but use the Internet to your advantage, Game related websites and so on. Pass around the news and a link of this Flyer to people to help get the word out. If 75% of the community really helps out and does the following information provided, this will greatly increase the staff’s chances of getting new development members.

DragonballSource is currently seeking the following Roles for Staff opportunities: World Mappers, 2D & 3D Character / Object Modelers, Animators, Texture Artists, and Programmers. If you have experience within the Mod community or within this field, please feel free to apply anytime. We are always looking for talented / hardworking individuals.

DragonballSource is a Half-Life 2 Mod conversion based upon the Source Engine. You can download DBS from our website at – www.DragonballSource.com. Current version 0.1.3 Beta, followed by on April 12th 2008 0.1.4 Beta Release.

DBS - Distance Shot SFX Demo

Well it has been a very long time since I have posted a SFX demo. Currently I have been working on a new audio peace for Attack SFX. Basically this new effect, will now add a distance shot sound on some waves. This will apply if you are 20+ feet away from the person performing the action. How it works in source is the left channel is the near sound and right channel is the distant sound. In this demo you will hear the effect of both of them mixed together. You can also see some very old demos from couple of years ago as well. Enjoy!

DBS Video Contest for Myspace!

Contest ends the end of January.

Now that 0.1.3 is out, DBS Music site and DBS main MySpace are looking for a new game play video to put within are MySpace pages. So, we are looking for the fan’s to put something together, if they choose to. The best video will be chosen and voted on by DBS Fan’s in a poll, and then narrowed down to the top 3, then voted on by staff members. After that, it will be posted on are MySpace accounts.

What We Are Looking For!

1. The Video Must have original DBS Music from are sound track you can find here - http://www.moddb.com/mods/5026/drago...ck-saiyan-saga

2. Video Must contain in game Sound Effects while video clip is playing. You can turn off the Music while in-game, and then add how ever many of DBS’s custom songs within are sound track to the video during editing process.

3. The clip must be no longer than 4 Min long.
