When I try to connect to the server, as soon as it hits the checking game version it always crashes at the same point with unhandled exception access_violation:(c0000005) can anyone help? :<

People still play on the server, I see games up all the time and there were over a dozen people bothering me the last two times the server had problems.

Notes on the rush w/Phil later:

1) We are doing NO optional quests! This is purely to give everyone access to Act 5 and Baal so the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ part of levelling is out of the way.
2) STAY BACK. Phil is hilariously overlevelled for this job and he can handle almost everything himself. Dying blows, so don't do it.
3) We'll be doing all 5 acts, so if you don't need a particular act (like act 1), you can help out by clearing a path to the annoying parts of the game - bottom of the Claw Viper Temple, Summoner, boss levels, etc.

quick note: I mentioned in chat yesterday when asked about mods to the server that we were all vanilla. I totally forgot that we made one very minor change. To summon uber diablo for an Anni Charm, you must sacrifice a NEF rune, not a Stone of Jordon.

The reason behind this is that SoJs haven't been duped to hell and back like they were on b.net , and as of this posting actually don't exist at all. By the time you get to level 70 and can spank Uber D, we figure you've earned an Anni Charm without having to chase down an SoJ.

The server owner and I also had a chat about the mods; he's actually open to the idea of a quest reset mod, so I'm going to explore them more fully to see if they'll overbalance things as much as I fear. Stay tuned.
