Otherwise for this year I still hope to get Darksiders 3, Jedi - Survivor & Cyberpunk 2077 done plus whatever random games I decide to throw in there. Crysis 3 as well. Maybe Borderlands 2, but I might be filled up in "long guide slots". The Crysis games have been nice short guides to break things up for me.
Yeah Sleeping Dogs is fun, its combat is a beat 'em up much like Yakuza and the Batman Arkham games so its a given.
Sleeping Dogs should be great; I've only heard good things about it. I plan to make a guide for it one day some day, but I am sure you'll 100% it well before I ever get to it. It should be a fun one!
I checked out your Curator Page & it is pretty awesome; you've covered a lot of good games! Your Steam Group looks like it is popping off too for how short is has been up, which is great to see. Happy Hunting. Awiji!
I absolutely plan to do RDR2... but it kind of put the fear of God in me when I first attempted to tackle it back in February. That is probably going to be the biggest guide I will have ever done to date just due to the sheer scale of the game, the amount of Collectibles, & especially the fact that the Acts advance parts of the game & only certain Collectibles/Missions are available in certain Acts. I need to take a better crack at my research & guide pre-work before jumping back at RDR2.
But other then that I am not entirely sure yet. I will probably start up a new "long guide" which will either be Cyberpunk 2077 or RDR2. I do in fact need to finish my Elden Ring guide to which I am taking a break from; if I hit 100 hours in a game/guide & am not close to the 100% I usually need to step back for a break.
As for Fires of Rubicon that is definitely an up there game for me to play/cover & I really want to check it out. My only experience with Armored Core was Armored Core 4 on 360 back in the day... & I never got very far because of how complicated it was. But those games are super cool & I always wanted to give them an actual shot. Armored Core 6 looks epic.
All I really have left is the Achievements that needs 1-2 players to do but I can write up the strategies for unlocking them easily enough for the guide. I don't really like releasing guides when I haven't 100%ed them as once the guide is out, I usually end up moving on to new games/guides & don't come back. But these multiplayer Achievements will keep the guide in purgatory for a while (I haven't touched it since December) so I may as well get it out.
The delay in the release is only because I haven't 100% myself with the final Online Achievements, but I was planning on prepping it this week.
I hope to release both the AC Blackflag and Crysis 1 guide this weekend.
The trailer did look insane, & I just finished watching a Gameranx video breaking it down too. Pretty ambitious. But since this is Pearl Abyss' first singleplayer game, it does make me raise an eyebrow if they can deliver on it. Might be too ambitious. But you're right it IS a real game, & it IS coming out in a few days so I guess we will see. I am always happy to be proven wrong over this kind of thing. Could be GotY if they can even pull off half of what I saw.
I enjoyed replaying RDR1 so much... I am rolling straight into RDR2; I have never actually played it before yet & am excited to check it out. Unfortunately... having just finished my preliminary Achievement research... it looks like a MASSIVE 100% for only 34 Achievements (the other 17 being for Online which do not actually seem that bad). Wish me luck; this guide is going to probably be my doozy for 2026!
Dragon Age - Origins is probably the most similar in epic story & companion/gameplay though it is a fantasy RPG not Sci-Fi. Very great game, but old & unfortuntely doesn't have Achievements on Steam :(. Similarly, the Knights of the Old Republic games are also quite old but have great stories & decision making.
I will do a more formal "announcement" post when I get back.
Otherwise, I am hoping everyone has been having a great holiday so far. Happy New Years, everyone - I have a lot of exciting guides planned for 2026!
My Blackflag guide could be a little longer due to the Multiplayer Achievements, but I will get that done.
I will do a more "formal" update announcement catching up with all of you just before or on Christmas; I have a lot of epic guides planned for 2026!
