29 May @ 11:08pm
I'm also gonna be working on Alan Wake 1 and I hope Max Payne 3. Still working on the Saints Row 3 game as well.
29 May @ 2:34pm
That's good, good luck with that.
29 May @ 11:23am
Currently I will be trying to invest more time into Batman Origins & try to get that finished for June. Then I am not too sure. I really should get back working on my Elden Ring guide so I may put in another 100 hours on it before I need a break. I started AC - Rogue way too soon after Black Flag so I didn't get very far into it before I needed to put it down. Might swap to AC - Unity instead.

Otherwise for this year I still hope to get Darksiders 3, Jedi - Survivor & Cyberpunk 2077 done plus whatever random games I decide to throw in there. Crysis 3 as well. Maybe Borderlands 2, but I might be filled up in "long guide slots". The Crysis games have been nice short guides to break things up for me.
28 May @ 10:16pm
Hey Cynic, you 100% few games like KARMA and Crysis 2, what's next? I know I see the game collection you showcase indicating you're playing them, I'm curious what's next.
24 May @ 10:23pm
I finally finish South Park: The Stick of Truth 100%. Jeez its a fun one.
22 May @ 4:10pm
Yeah offensive humor in it are funny as always typical South Park fashion, the game should not be long at least collecting achievements and items even missables are easy enough.
22 May @ 2:49pm
Haha not a bad suggestion Division. I've never played those games before, but I am a big South Park fan; I have heard they are good.
22 May @ 1:59pm
Currently playing South Park: The Stick of Truth, with how many missables there are I use a video walkthrough guide by Platinum Chasers. Hope you can do a 100% Achievement guide on that game Cynic.
9 May @ 12:00am
I finally 100% Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition. What a journey it was with most highs and little lows but it was worth it.
4 May @ 7:13pm
Yeah I used video guides to replicate what I should do, Sniper Assassin was annoying especially some challenges but Hitman Algorithm is the best channel for Hitman stuffs.

Yeah Sleeping Dogs is fun, its combat is a beat 'em up much like Yakuza and the Batman Arkham games so its a given.
4 May @ 4:47pm
Nice Division, that's sick! That is a gnarly 100%. As a Hitman game, I am sure it probably has a whole bunch of hyper specific kills you need to do on all the Missions... plus doing them all on Professional Difficulty. I know you've recommended it to me a bunch, but I am so bad at those kind of games haha. Need to get my stealth practice in with Dishonored or Deus Ex first.

Sleeping Dogs should be great; I've only heard good things about it. I plan to make a guide for it one day some day, but I am sure you'll 100% it well before I ever get to it. It should be a fun one!
4 May @ 4:41pm
Finally few days ago I 100% all achievements of HITMAN 2 (2018). Now I am working on Sleeping Dogs.
28 Apr @ 4:41pm
Hey Awiji, thank you very much, I appreciate that a lot! My guide backlog is absolutely colossal, so don't be too disappointed about me missing a game here or there; my goal is to one day some day get to them all. But with me only getting to 10-14 games/guides a year... & a back log of over 150 games... it will probably take me 10 years to get through it all. Not including all the new games that come out from now until then...

I checked out your Curator Page & it is pretty awesome; you've covered a lot of good games! Your Steam Group looks like it is popping off too for how short is has been up, which is great to see. Happy Hunting. Awiji! :praisesun:
28 Apr @ 3:48pm
Hey Cynic, just wanted to thank you for all the work you have done with your guides. All of your guides I have followed have been very clear and concise, and have been a great help in my journey to complete my backlog. I enjoy 100%-ing games and reviewing them, so I made a curator for my reviews called Awiji's Reviews. No pressure to check it out, but I just wanted you to know how much of a help you have been to me personally, as well as many others! I honestly look for your guides in any game I hunt, and I am a little disappointed every now and then when it's a game you haven't tried, lol. Keep up the great work, thank you Cynic! :reheart:
25 Apr @ 3:22pm
Hey everyone, I made a new post in the Discussions - Guide Writing Questions talking about my current struggles with my 100% Achievement Guide for Elden Ring. I would really appreciate you all sharing your thoughts as it will help me decide how to proceed on finishing it.
23 Apr @ 6:00pm
Right but you got a huge backlog to conquer so maybe find any games in it and do them.
23 Apr @ 9:18am
I was actually considering the opposite; even though it is big, Cyber Punk should be a very duoable guide for me. Though it does have a (Censored by Steam) of Missable story/side Mission decision Achievements that will be tough to keep track of.

I absolutely plan to do RDR2... but it kind of put the fear of God in me when I first attempted to tackle it back in February. That is probably going to be the biggest guide I will have ever done to date just due to the sheer scale of the game, the amount of Collectibles, & especially the fact that the Acts advance parts of the game & only certain Collectibles/Missions are available in certain Acts. I need to take a better crack at my research & guide pre-work before jumping back at RDR2.
21 Apr @ 6:15pm
Forgot to say this too but I might suggest doing Read Dead Redemption 2 over Cyberpunk 2077 first at least you will finish the series.
18 Apr @ 1:01pm
Sounds good, yeah probably Crysis could be next as well as Arkham Origins.
18 Apr @ 11:59am
Some potentials for this year could be: Borderlands 2, Dying Light 2, Last of Us, A Plague Tale - Innocence... & many others, it is almost pointless to speculate for me because I will really have no idea what I'll be in the mood for when I get a new project opening.
18 Apr @ 11:59am
Hey sorry Division just saw them & I added them to the Requested Guide list. I will be doing the Crysis series for sure over the next few months (they're pretty straightforward 100%s & won't take up much of my time), I'd like to do Batman Origins as well as Darksiders 3 to finish off those series finally (there are two other short games Batman - Blackgate & Darksiders - Genesis that I may or may not get to this year). Jedi - Survivor is another one I hope to do as well to finish that series.

But other then that I am not entirely sure yet. I will probably start up a new "long guide" which will either be Cyberpunk 2077 or RDR2. I do in fact need to finish my Elden Ring guide to which I am taking a break from; if I hit 100 hours in a game/guide & am not close to the 100% I usually need to step back for a break.
17 Apr @ 6:19pm
By the way I posted my new suggestions on the Requested Guide so its up to you if you wanna play those games.
17 Apr @ 6:19pm
Congrats on the Crysis Remastered 100% completion Cynic, I know Arkham Origins is next but what else are you gonna tackle?
15 Apr @ 3:01pm
All finished my Oblivion Remastered guide & just have to edit before I release it. But when I do, I am thinking the next guide I will work on... is one I don't really want to but is up there as one of my most asked for guides: Batman - Arkham Origins. Once its done, the whole Arkham series will be finished for me, which will be nice to finally have done. :batsilo:
9 Apr @ 2:52pm
Hey thank you Vehemence, I appreciate that; I also just saw your post on the Requested Guides tab & I will add your votes in. Stardew Valley I know close to nothing about but it has been requested a few times. Not my usual kind of game, but it does seem interesting. I am the kind of guy that can spend hours & hours in games like Minecraft just developing my base & stuff like that, so developing a farm doesn't seem too far off.

As for Fires of Rubicon that is definitely an up there game for me to play/cover & I really want to check it out. My only experience with Armored Core was Armored Core 4 on 360 back in the day... & I never got very far because of how complicated it was. But those games are super cool & I always wanted to give them an actual shot. Armored Core 6 looks epic.
9 Apr @ 2:03pm
Hey Cynic! Just wanted to drop by and express my appreciation for the amazing work you do on you're guides. It really is a service to those of us who like to 100%. The level of quality is also insane. Please keep up the good work and I eagerly await future guides.
8 Apr @ 5:16pm
5 new achievements were added for blasphemous 2...???
2 Apr @ 3:05pm
If I were to pick one I rather take Max Payne 3's grind despite it being overstaying its welcome and the fact you need to commit to that game. Yes the Multiplayer is grindy so has its permadeath mode but its a fun game.
2 Apr @ 10:43am
I still have to edit the guide, but I do have all the singleplayer campaign stuff done as well as about half the multiplayer finished; a lot of it can a actually be done solo, but it is grindy & not really fun to play.

All I really have left is the Achievements that needs 1-2 players to do but I can write up the strategies for unlocking them easily enough for the guide. I don't really like releasing guides when I haven't 100%ed them as once the guide is out, I usually end up moving on to new games/guides & don't come back. But these multiplayer Achievements will keep the guide in purgatory for a while (I haven't touched it since December) so I may as well get it out.
1 Apr @ 11:24pm
No worries! Tbh I think the guide for just the singleplayer achievements would already be such a massive help, given how big this game is, and I don't care about the asinine MP achievements anyway; only if you're comfortable with releasing the partial guide though.
1 Apr @ 1:02am
Haha calling me out. Sorry RobbySquats I was hoping to have Black Flag done a while ago, I am in fact being held up by the Multi-player Achievements. But I think I can maneuver around them (on my own 100% end).

The delay in the release is only because I haven't 100% myself with the final Online Achievements, but I was planning on prepping it this week.

I hope to release both the AC Blackflag and Crysis 1 guide this weekend.
1 Apr @ 12:40am
Hey Cynic, any chance you wanna release the AC Black Flag guide, even if there are still online multiplayer achievements remaining?
31 Mar @ 10:02pm
Hey Cynic no idea if you know this but the steam console allows you to reset one or more achievements, also meaning delete them (if it autopops automatically) unless you delete that save file on file folder and in-game, I got to bring this up because someone had randomly unlock Read Dead Redemption 2 achievements no matter what this March.
15 Mar @ 7:54pm
Hey Cynic, funny you mention that cause I brought it up to some other people too and they though the exact same thing at first. It does look genuinely insane if they can pull it off but that being said massive open worlds have never really been my favorite and apparently it's akin to BotW and double the map size of RDR2 in that regard... I have been itching to play RDR1 and RDR2 though so maybe I'll be changed on that opinion sooner rather than later.
15 Mar @ 1:50pm
Hey crucibl, if I am being honest, I never actually looked at it until you brought it up. I assumed it as just a sequel to Black Desert Online & never looked into it; which I was partially correct on, but Crimson Desert is a full singleplayer not an MMO.

The trailer did look insane, & I just finished watching a Gameranx video breaking it down too. Pretty ambitious. But since this is Pearl Abyss' first singleplayer game, it does make me raise an eyebrow if they can deliver on it. Might be too ambitious. But you're right it IS a real game, & it IS coming out in a few days so I guess we will see. I am always happy to be proven wrong over this kind of thing. Could be GotY if they can even pull off half of what I saw.
14 Mar @ 8:05pm
Hey Cynic, have you looked into Crimson Desert at all or are interested in playing it? Comes out the 19th and seems insane
15 Feb @ 11:42am
Ayy Cynic let's go on the RDR1 guide! Can't wait to start that once I get through my backlog in a decade and maybe by then you'll have completed RDR2 haha
12 Feb @ 9:22pm
Sweeeeeet! Wishlisted.* MGS Delta is high on my list to cover, & I would love to play more of these games.
12 Feb @ 9:09pm
https://store.steampowered.com/app/3859630/METAL_GEAR_SOLID_MASTER_COLLECTION_Vol2/ METAL GEAR SOLID: MASTER COLLECTION Vol.2 announced today on PC.
8 Feb @ 9:30am
RDR guide wow incredible! I bought it last christmas so perfect time to use it this year. Very excited and thanks for all your work as always Cynic!
7 Feb @ 3:36pm
My guide for Red Dead Redemption 1 is fully edited now, & I will have it uploaded to Steam sometime tomorrow (I could do it by tonight, but it will still take me 3-4 hours to do it & I'm tired, so I'll save it for tomorrow).

I enjoyed replaying RDR1 so much... I am rolling straight into RDR2; I have never actually played it before yet & am excited to check it out. Unfortunately... having just finished my preliminary Achievement research... it looks like a MASSIVE 100% for only 34 Achievements (the other 17 being for Online which do not actually seem that bad). Wish me luck; this guide is going to probably be my doozy for 2026!
25 Jan @ 11:35am
That's a tough one Nash; ME is a one of a kind masterpiece & I have never really found a comparable game. Andromeda is no good, so I wouldn't recommend it. If you are looking for games with good stories I'd recommend the Witcher series, Last of Us, the Arkham Series, the Nier series, & Days Gone. I'm sure there is way more I didn't touch on, but these are at least the ones I've played.

Dragon Age - Origins is probably the most similar in epic story & companion/gameplay though it is a fantasy RPG not Sci-Fi. Very great game, but old & unfortuntely doesn't have Achievements on Steam :(. Similarly, the Knights of the Old Republic games are also quite old but have great stories & decision making.
25 Jan @ 6:36am
I recently finished ME legendary edition with your guide and just wanted to say I had a blast and I can't find a game to complete that made me feel like this one haha, any recommendations ?(from your guides or not)
2 Jan @ 10:08am
Nioh has been a game series I really want to come back to... I actually started Nioh 1 back in 2020 when I first started doing guides; it's about 1/3 done. I got distracted by other games & never came back. BUT, once I eventually finish Elden Ring, I am for sure going back to finish it. :kodama:
2 Jan @ 8:34am
Hey Cynic! you should try out the Nioh games!
30 Dec, 2025 @ 1:41pm
Sorry everyone for being AWOL, I ended up deciding to take the holidays "off" from guide stuff & spending it with family. I am about halfway through editing my Blasphemous 2 guide, & when I am back home on the 2nd or 3rd I will push to get the guide out & finished that weekend. Start the New Year with a mostly clean slate.

I will do a more formal "announcement" post when I get back.

Otherwise, I am hoping everyone has been having a great holiday so far. Happy New Years, everyone - I have a lot of exciting guides planned for 2026! :wintersnowman2023:
10 Dec, 2025 @ 3:45pm
Pushing to get some guides released before Christmas; sorry for the long lapse in time since my last guide came out... back in September. Two guides for sure by the end of the year, & then another two guides pretty shortly into January.

My Blackflag guide could be a little longer due to the Multiplayer Achievements, but I will get that done.

I will do a more "formal" update announcement catching up with all of you just before or on Christmas; I have a lot of epic guides planned for 2026! :wintersnowman2023:
19 Oct, 2025 @ 12:04pm
Thanks, nicolas_irl! Congrats on the 100%s too; the Metro games are awesome, & really fun 100%s. :MSparta:
19 Oct, 2025 @ 11:00am
you are the sole reason i earned 100% on all metro games... Thank u so much ur the goat man
13 Oct, 2025 @ 11:55pm
I finished Saints Row 2 on the 11th this month, it is an excellent and fun game. I will get started with the third game which of course is the non-remastered one.
