Hi. I really enjoy these pugs and I appreciate this group's existence. But please stop ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ spamming me with announcements. One every 30 seconds or so is annoying. Cut it out.

Why is it that everytime I get an announcement for 6's pugs here I join up ("Only need 4 more") and not a single soul is there?

Chicago Server is back up, and PUGs are now running.

Chicago Servers are down. My GSP had some significant hardware issues with the machine. Unfortunately, all of this took place last night, and I had no warning.

Being the forwarding-thinking, sharp young fellow that I am, I of course, have no backups. I have been given a replacement server, but I have lost all of my scripts.

Chicago will be back up this weekend. DALLAS SERVERS ARE STILL FUNCTIONING.

The SOAP DM server (74.91.120.207:27015) has been improved: UGC 6v6 whitelist, native tournament-mode class restrictions (no buggy plugin!). I believe it's the only SOAP DM server around at the moment with a reliable whitelist.

If you want, you could close steam or go into offline mode before opening a non-steam game.

I really enjoy your events, but, and I know this comment won't be met with open minds, I can't stay in the group because the constant announcements cause problems with my non-steam games (DayZ, Battlefield, Planetside2).

Funny, because I just captained a team that beat that certain somebody on two different maps. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The only reason I don't play Highlander with CFGU anymore is because of a certain captain constantly stacking teams...

Also, HL is on twice a week for directly that reason. People only come into HL generally for Hank, it appears. Interest is clearly low if we have trouble occasionally just making 6s (though that is more because of MvM).

It's taking us 40+ minutes just to muster two teams for HL. That's why we rarely play it, not enough interest.

@Greene: my bad. I thought I remembered announcements only creating a Steam notification, but I guess I was wrong.

But seriously. You can go ahead and make events occasionally for real events, instead of spamming to fill in servers. If a server is low on players, just tell people to go through their friends lists and ask people once if they want to play.

Why not just rename the group for "Critical Failure's 6's Union"? I mean we play highlander 1-2 time a week anyways...

If you are not interested in alerts for pugs, don't stay in the group. Also, announcements bring up boxes too, so your argument is silly.

Please stop spamming 6s events. You could at least make them announcements so I don't have to deal with a bright-orange flashing window every time. =\
