We're elated to see new members[discord.com] increasingly representing us on the battlefield.

Just to ensure that compliance works on both ends, here are a few rules for our behavior among each other and coram publico.

Things To Do First

Enter our Discord and Steam chat
Subscribe to our YouTube channel and watch the video "Meet Continuity"
Send a friend request to our fellow members on Steam
Have a few games with other members
Be active on Discord (e.g. enter voice chat, upload battle screenshots)
Download VMR (thread #patch-downloads)
Adjust your user script based on #preferences-script on Discord
Read #Gameplay Advice on Discord

Things To Keep in Mind

CONTINUITY tag
We wear our tag when we get together to play. If you're playing on your own, it's up to you. But bear in mind that you shouldn't misbehave in game (e.g. breaking rules) while you visually represent us.
Be patient and diligent
When your fellow member points out your mistakes, accept it and be eager to improve.
Be responsive and don't ignore continuously
It's okay to send a delayed response or to overlook a message. But a recurrent act of ignoring or hiding in the invisible mode is not our modus operandi.
Communicate your temporary retirement
If you're planning to retire for a certain period of time, reach out to Ducasse or Raevsky.
Attend our events if possible
Our events are rare and mostly bound to special occasions, such as our anniversary, get-togethers in VMR mod and, of course, clan battles and tournaments. Especially if you are chosen to represent us in an important, officially announced match, you shouldn't stand us up without a notice.
Don't post embarrassing screenshots
Whether on Steam or Discord, avoid posting battle screenshots that could embarrass any of our members. Which is why it's better if you play in the same union.
Be nice to your opponent
As long as you wear our tag, we can't afford smearing it with trashtalk or misdemeanor in public. If you have nothing positive to say, say nothing.
No toxic discussions with other clans
We don't speak ill of anyone - even if we happen not to be on good terms with a certain clan. Leave diplomacy for the founder of our community.
Considering options is OK unless it's treason
As a new member, you're free to consider different clans if that's what you desire for personal growth. If you switch sides in favour of UNITY, you're a traitor.

Our Transfer System (for new members to consider!)

A transfer suggests the transition from one club to another. You know this from competitive sports. Legally, we're not able to put players under contract - Ducasse couldn't afford to have a labor union aboard - but our community dwells on the same basic concept.

Each new member has the chance to join CONTINUITY, regardless whether he is already in a clan or seeks only temporary membership. New members are entitled to a free transfer. That means, a player may switch from CONTINUITY to another clan/community after his contract has expired and has not been extended by the admins.

New members are free to negotiate with other clans/communities during the season.

A transfer window is a time period where a player can decide whether to join or to leave us. It opens twice a year:

Summer: from August 6 until September 6

Winter: from January 6 until February 6

Our community strives for more dynamics and we're eager to welcome more NTW enthusiasts in our ranks. Enabling to join us as a new (temporary) member, we give you the opportunity to get to know us, to learn from us or simply to enjoy your time with our brand and to move further down your own path if you like.

New members are obliged to stay with us for at least one season (= the period between two transfer windows) to make it into our official member list. Those who stay at least for two seasons (= one year) will be permitted to apply for core membership. The unsanctioned switch during the season will lead to a permanent suspension.

Core members are exempt from transfer negotiations. The violation of this rule will lead to a permanent suspension.

Once CONTINUITY, always CONTINUITY

Keep in mind this one-liner. Transfer doesn't mean entirely leaving us. New members, who made it into our official list, stay in our community's group and will be treated as such.

In order to become a core member, you will have to donate to our community or our Youtube Channel upon your application on a regular basis until the next transfer window opens. In the video below you can watch all our core members in action.
