Today is the day for our little event to kick off and sadly only 4 out of 9 have been able to confirm that they'll attend today's event, 2 of the 9 couldn't make it and 2-3 have yet to confirm whenever they'll show up at all.

Should the 2 or 3 show up then we'll have a 3v3/4v4 Demolition match if not we'll just go straight to 1v1 deathmatches, whoever reaches 20 kills first will climb up the 'ladder' till whoever ends up on the top.

Now as of rewards for 1st and 2nd place on the deathmatches, 1st place gets to pick 2 games from a 'stockpile' of mine that I've been building up over the years of steam summer sales etc. 2nd place gets to pick 1 game.

Should we be lucky and be able to have a 3v3/4v4 before the deathmatches then each member of the winning team will get a 10 dollar cash prize, originally I would've just have made it steam giftcards, but apparently you can't get 10 dollar giftcards in western countries except places like India etc. so to claim your cashprizes I think paypal would be the easiest for us all unless someone have a better idea of course.

Lastly depending on how the 'preparations' go today you may want to download hamachi since there's no dedicated server support for "Red Faction Guerilla" other than to make it a lan game, which I figure should be possible to do through the use of hamachi, I'll give you all an update later today whenever hamachi will be a thing that'll work out or not.

Note: The rewards might not seem that "high" or "good" but if there were more people attending then obviously I would've made the prizes bigger but since for all I know there'll only be 4 competing for 1st and 2nd place, I don't see why I should give more than mentioned above.

Update: Hamachi has proven to NOT function as I had hoped it would so don't bother downloading hamachi, we'll have to put our 'fate' into the hands of the matchmaking server..!

Greetings fellow quantlings and friends!

I Muddy Grimes and X.P. have been working on an event or rather a tournament which will take place in the game Red Faction: Guerrilla which we both agreed would be a good and affordable 'scene' to make use of for a tournament.

Now there are those of you who may or may not have the game already but for those who don't have the game, you'll be given a free copy of the game if you decide to attend said event.
BUT I 'only' have 20 copies to give out so basically a
'First-come, first-served' basis applies, so don't wait too long before deciding to sign-up!
(I'll be able to send copies out on the 31st March, later this month)

The prizes are going to be a mix of steam giftcards cash prizes & giftable games which you'll get to pick and choose from depending on how well you fare in the tournament of course!

As of what kind of matches you should expect we've decided to have some team-based matches first as a form of 'warm-up' with some 'minor' prizes for the winning team(s)
Afterwards it'll be FFA (Free for all) and then 1v1 matches which will determine who can DOMINATE enough to claim the spots of 1st, 2nd & 3rd!

Lastly I'll mention that there'll be another announcement made with the rules and a 'tournament bracket' once we get closer to the date of the tournament + additional information on what prizes you should expect from the various matches you'll be going through if you win!

I will be looking forward to all of you who decide to attend the 'quant Dust off tournament' and may the toughest, most deadly and destructive contestant(s) win!

Now with that said yes there are space ships/packages at 350 dollars and higher but it isn't REQUIRED to purchase those in order to get the game or to enjoy it for that matter, besides I've personally purchased all KINDS of different ships which everyone in our organization will get to use as the ships are put into the game.
