Thanks. I found it in an odd place but I'll take a look at those spots too. I love CoG games but I love editing my saves to really match my headcanon of the MC best. Fun stuff. Gives me the ability to enjoy many more playthroughs.

Sometimes it's in %appdata%. For the save file to be created in c:/program files (x86)/user/steam/userdata/### you may have to start the game and play a little so it populates.

Does anyone know where to find the save files for CoG games? It seems that something was changed as I don't see the save files any more where they used to be. I like playing with save files after a good two or so run throughs in a game.

Even on Christmas discount it's tenfold overpriced. It was sorta worth it to pick up for 30 cent every now and then, but now they are charging prices like actual games with graphics, music and voice.

Saves still require registration to be used in the next book of the same story, so apart from the false advertising and non-compliance it's leveraging digital bureaucracy against humanity.

I don't get why they have to be payed at all, when their books are social questionnaires for data collection. We don't get to know who buys that data either.

ive bought well over 40 stories on mobile, and whether it was a good financial choice or not, choice of games gives me a great way to pass the time and keep it interesting at the same time.

On their forum, CoG is giving gifting ten games on Steam to people who want to play but can't afford them. Gift requests taken until 31MAY21. Gifts dispensed on 01JUN21. The thread is under the "General" category and called "Chain of Kindness: Ten-book Giveaway."

Good point Regal, but I also have noticed in their forums on their web site as well that they have tried to force writers to add in the company owners political views into their works, which i find very unprofessional. Their forums are hideously toxic. If you disagree with them they will warn you and ban you. Even posting respectfully in forums you cant. The owners will judge your posts before letting it be seen publicly. It is never good to throw politics into your work. That is why I no longer support them personally, but if you like their work thats cool too.

While I agree with Samurai on that point, some games are still good, if a tad (or a lot depending on the author) social justicy. Some are completely fine though, just have to seek the authors out a bit before or trying the demo first to get a feel

games have really gone downhill since they started throwing identity politics and 'social justice' and gender pronouns into the mix. I suggest steering clear of them.
