New Minecraft Server

With all the extra hours I've been working I decided I could afford to get a new Minecraft server.

We now have an 8 man server running vanilla Minecraft.
The ip is 85.236.101.6:27965 but you'll need to find me on Mumble or Steam and give me your MC name so I can add you to the whitelist if you want to play there.

I'll update the group page with info when I get some time but the basic plan is to occasionally run fraps when we have a few people on the server and in mumble and maybe put together some highlights videos for youtube. This is quite time consuming though so the server is mainly just for fun. :)

So the Tekkit world has corrupted for the second time. After doing some major research I've nailed down the two issues.
First off, the incompatibility between buildcraft wooden pipes and the Energy Condensers from EE. Works sometimes. Other times it doesn't. There is no reliable way of getting these working. For now at least, no connecting wooden pipes to condensers.

Secondly, the red matter furnace. This is completely fux0red in EE2 (which is the version we currently run). There is literally nothing we can do about this. Tekkit 3 (which is the next upgrade) still uses EE2 so until EE3 is fully integrated into Tekkit Red Matter furnaces are gonna corrupt the level.dat.

Tomorrow I'll roll back to the nearest available uncorrupted backup while Vel is online to remove his wooden pipe. I'll also remove my functional pipe system from my condenser to play it safe. At the same time, I'll check Lia's house for a red matter furnace and remove it if it is present in that backup. Please avoid the use of these two bugs.

Due to the cramped conditions of our little settlement I am building a new house out in the woods just beyond my quarry area. I want this place to look good in case we decide to record any Youtube videos. Please refrain from building / excavating in the vicinity of my new abode. It will likely take a week or thereabouts to fully complete the move. When finished, I intend to leave my wooden shack where it is to serve as an oil refinery, at least until I discover how best to move all the fuel over to my new house.

#8 - Our server is expensive and has an extremely limited number of slots. Please refrain from sending all your friends to ask for whitelist access. We simply don't have the room.

#9 - I am not in the habit of replacing items lost due to death. I do not care how expensive they were. The only time I will even consider replacing lost items is if your death was intentionally or accidentally caused by another player.

#10 - If a player says "Zzzz" or similar in text chat, they are politely requesting all players to sleep for the night. If you are able, please go to bed and type Zzzz yourself to let them know you have done so. If you cannot sleep, ask the player to let you know when it is morning and disconnect. If this also is not an option due to dangerous surroundings, inform the other players. It is polite to let others know if you are planning on going into a dangerous area overnight in advance so they can plan around it.

#11 - Important information regarding nuclear reactors. When the time comes to build your first nuke, please bear in mind that a nuclear reactor going into meltdown has a blast radius of around 300 blocks. Please build your first reactor a suitable distance from civilization. It is highly recommended to encase it in REINFORCED STONE. A suitable blast chamber should be three layers thick. Once you are happy that you are capable of running a reactor with four or more uranium cores without it going into meltdown then feel free to build it closer to your house. You should still erect a suitable blast chamber to contain any potential meltdown.
NEVER log off and leave your reactor running. If you really must log off in a hurry be sure to ask another player to power down your reactor for you. You really don't want to log back on to find that what was once your house is now a 300 block radioactive crater.

#12 - Redstone clocks and similar complex devices are cool, but please don't build them. We simply don't have the RAM. Try not to build incredibly laggy redstone circuits. :)
