I remember people on /v/ saying Bethesda will release Skyrim before this gets finished. Well, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, they were right. It's still the best mod-comp out there.

i finished installing the overhauls but after I copy the ini file, oblivion opens in a window instead of full screen. I edited the ini to full screen but oblivion closes automatically. How do I fix this?

kinda interesting, and I would like to participate i guess, but i dont know what kind of modifications you guys are going for, and if you have what i have and if yours are compatible with mine, and what mods i have vs what mods you have, etc. I've got around 700-800 mods installed in my oblivion (all good ones [if i recall correctly, though many outdated with questionable stability I'm sure]) partially debugged, with a bit of personal changes. I was thinking about uploading the mods in a torrent one day when i felt i was finished with the project, but it's a pretty distant goal at this point. If you have any ideas about collaborating, I'm listening.

If it's just gripping and the default combo being replaced I could animate all that, but it will take quite a while by myself.

For gripping weapons, in a way that isnt over the top or too anime, i'd recommend checking out Youtube for videos of historical longsword fencing, or of european martial arts. Im pretty sure there's no mod that already does this, but if someone could make that happen they would probably fit well in the Elder Scrolls' medieval universe.

Spend around 5 hours installing mods that make magic better, because I never had a good mage. In the end, Oblivion won't even work without mods so I have to reinstall everything. NEVER!

I am having a problem that I can't seem to work around. :( When I installed the Overhaul, i followed all the instructions to the letter, but somehow I still got missing mesh errors, and when I tried installing the Modpack and now Oblivion won't start at all passed the Main Menu :/

Long ago I had a little mod custom made for me that automatically switches between first and third person depending on whether or not you have a melee weapon out.

Since I'm not sure if this can still be found on the net, I'd be happy to supply it if this is something y'all might want as an option in the pack.

My game's overall performance dropped dramatically after installing the Base testing pack. It's unplayable now since my PC is kinda bad.

It seems that the blur/depth-of-field is the main issue. Please tell me which mods I should deactivate to be able to play this.

I seem to be getting quite a lot of crashes when going through/closing Oblivion Gates.

I also can't do anything involving Midas' Magic. His doors are always locked no matter what

possibly might have something to do with the Darrn UI mod, could try uninstalling/reinstalling if you want but I don't know. Never had that problem.

just to add on, if the green files don't change to + signs when you uncheck them, leave them checked.

I didn't have3 the boxes on the right side checked for Merge Patches, or Import Graphics.

CONTINUING FROM THE POST BELOW:
selecting "Rebuild Patch..." should cause a new window to pop up with a bunch of lists with checkboxes (That are probably blank) on the left. All you have to do is:
Check Alias Mod Names,
Check Merge Patches, and make sure all the items in the right box for
Merge Patches are checked as well
Check Leveled Lists, and make sure the Automatic checkbox is checked
in the right box
And I also check the Import Graphics and Race Records, and all of their
corresponding boxes on the right side, although I do not believe they are necessary
After checking what needs to be checked, click "OK" on the bottom right of the window and wait for it to finish (for me this usually takes a few minutes)

When this is done you can now go back and uncheck the green files, and they should turn to + signs. I believe this indicates that the file is incorporated into the bashed patch and is redundant to have twice. Everyone feel free to correct me if i got anything wrong.

Did you bash the Bashed FCOM+COBL.esp? In case you didn't the way you do this is by going into Wyre Bash (Oblivion\Mopy\Wyre Bash Launcher.pyw), and highlighting all the .esp/.esm files.

Do this by clicking on the top file of the list, and then holding shift and clicking on the bottom file of the list; at this point all of the files should be highlighted. After this, hold the ctrl key and click on the Bashed FCOM+COBL.esp. At this point all of the files EXCEPT Bashed FCOM+COBL.esp should be highlighted.

The next step is to right click in a highlighted area on the list and select "Mark Mergeable..." After a short wait, a new window should pop up listing all the mergeable ♥♥♥♥, all you gotta do is click OK. This should make that window go away

Now click on the Bashed FCOM+COBL.esp patch, which should unihighlight all of the other files and leave only the Bashed FCOM+COBL.esp file highlighted. Now Right click on Bashed FCOM+COBL.esp and select "Rebuild Patch..."

Well, they aren't turning to + signs and Bashed FCOM+COBL.esp is checked. So why aren't they? What does the + sign actually mean? What does the + sign confirm I've done that I obviously haven't?
