Over .... wait for it..... 60,000 people signed up. This in my option is massive. considering only Canonical estimate only just over 20,000 use ubuntu . of these 60,000

Be honest ( There looking for the best development possible ( if your machine wont run the game , why bother entering))

You do need a steam account , which most of us have.
Would highly suggest everybody to enter that have am interest in this.
It would be great to get somebody here involved

Well guys, for now we are playing the waiting game. Valve have not given a release date for the Steam Client on Linux but have said it will be out before the end of 2012. With the release of the client there will only be one game available right off the bat and that is Left4Dead2. So to join in on the fun on release day do make sure you have already bought Left4Dead2 on steam.

Once Left4Dead2 has been released we expect most to all of the Source Engine games to also be made available.

Other Steam games which already have Linux versions released are (incompleted):

- Limbo
- Super Meat Boy
- Binding of Issac
- Amnesia: The Dark Decent
- Penumbera Series
- Doom 3
- Serious Sam 3

(anyone know more please comment)
