Very North 104.223.91.139:2302 Spawn mostly Novaya Petrovka, backup above Novo. Same mods. different custom buildings.
For rules check above.
Both Servers work with completely standard client. All modding is done serverside only. With exception of few builderitems structures in some out of the way places (Kamy, Svetlo, over water), which you can't see and enter without the mod.
https://discord.gg/xwB8HPd
Still serverfiles released to allow mods and admin tools.
Playing around with it on my little, completely unofficial server. I keep an eye on it when players are on (standard kos rules) but very little attention or support. some serverside modding for low stam/food/water use and some other things. And the horribly glitchy cars that re in this "release version"..
ip i 198.12.77.50:2302
198.12.77.50:27016 to add it on steam server browser.
Nothing has changed. Checking the serverlist, the game is pretty dead.
Seems in trying to get players off the coast and into more hardcore survival, they got the players off the game.
Only non whitelist RP server reasonably full, and with actually active admins is BraindeadRP. Which has some really silly RP rules though (in the context of DayZ!).
Announced is a beta (heard that before) and a new engine. Still not a word about server balance options or admin tools.
Cu next year.
There was roundabout one (1) patch to the game. Which added wolves. For servers nothing changed.
Happy Easter!
Alex thank you kindly for the constructive criticism. If you happen to want to you can always reach out to me or another admin on Daddies steamgroup page as well.
But without these Admin tools it takes a ludricrous amount of time and attention to make that bit of a difference, that people take any rules seriously. Tools like teleporting, watching things secretly, checking peoples inv to check for hacking and duping...)
+ with PVP zones (and no kill locations in logs) you can't even guess KOSses from kill patterns in the log.
You NEED reports. Which VERY few players give. Yet they complain about kos and "Badmins"...
So i did a lot of guessing from logs (2-3 straight headshots=prob sniper, many kills=prob kos...)
I don't play much dayz currently, so can't judge any particular servers admins, but that was our big problem.
People expect a lot (mind you on a free -but NOT cheap- Server) and help VERY little.
All admins have is a log saying "Player a hit(killed player B with Weapon C.
And connects and disconnects.
Thats all.
It has roughly similar rules but pvp zones at military bases. Give it a go.
Again i have nothing to do with it. But happy to mention it here in case anyone still reads.
They have a friendly only (any kill=ban) server. idk how serious they're about that. But its effetively the only rule that can be properly controlled and enforced with current logs so maybe they do.
I like the DystopiaRP idea of server password, hidden in the rules. Neat idea and good middle thing between open server and whitelist. Might be the goto system should bbrp ever be back.
Dystopia Rules themselves too complicated, therefore impossible to control. And too restrictive for my liking.
Couple of smaller Open private rp servers, hard to judge.
Update for game server: no update. Nothing changed. They mumble about server files every now and then but still nothing. No admin tools either.
Anyway. No i never really played on it. When i did, there weren't any rules announced. It seems now pretty much the same concept as braindead with different locations. I like a big city being a no kill zone btw.
But i think the braindead and inf rules are too complicated, And i know that way too few people report violations (yet they complain still about kos) and you cant really find out just from logs (giving you no locations of kills). And the more complex the rules the less.
Thats why i gave up til there are better logs and proper ingame admin tools. Still no news on this.
On other open RP servers its mainly kos and nobody, whatever the server title promises, seems to actually bother.
Thanks for everyone for playing.
The offer to take over costs or the complete server still stands.
It's still so empty that it doesnt make much difference to start a new one in a year or so, should the game have finally developed and there be tools to manages special rules on an open server.
I'm sure with some effort in terms of events and bringing people together, more would be possible with the current whitelist. But honestly, after the longest playtime in dayz sa of everyone, i know, i'm not really playing it anymore for now and have not the time or motivation to do so.
And, no, running it openly as a normal deathmatch server is equally a waste of money. More even because i wouldn't want to play here myself anymore. And there are countless servers for that already.
Dont expect any rules or any concept to work just from good will of people if anyone can join. Forget it. Plainly and 100% forget it!
Even with our banlist of more then 1000 players, there was kos and snipers all the time. And people complaining about it cause they thought admins can teleport, find names easily, acess players inventory and stuff like that.
NONE of which is possible.
Til then its the choice between an almost empty WL server and an unregulated server where you cant try to talk to people cause you get shot instantly. And frankly with that choice: its a.
Btw: the server will run til at least mar 10, cause someone took over part of the costs (i dont know if he wants it to be publicly known or not) he probably didnt do it to get it opened and being flooded with random kosser/snipers again who give a ♥♥♥♥ about any rules.
There is no patch on the horizon with the changes for admins i mentioned above. Til then every sniper, kosser and of course hacker just laughs in your face.
It resets persistence in the world. Loot, Cars, Tents.
It does NOT affect players, their gear, their inventory.
With the next patch, promised for february, they will maybe reset all servers anyway.
Also devs promised patch .60 with massive performance improvements for end of feb. Dont trust them though.
Currently im not quite sure if the server survives feb 11. Should it do, we probably make a list of white armbanders here, so people cant change back and forth on short notice to their advantage.
I now made a thread for reporting problems. Please use it for that.

Anyway there will be several months before MAYBE some improvements for server owners and admins appear in dayz sa. Til then special rules can only be controlled with a ridiculous amount of attention. Or with a whitelist. Server runs now til feb 11th. After that it will probably be closed unless costs or complete server is taken over by someone.
Running it almost empty, waiting for anything to improve in the games develpement makes no sense.
And to remove the whitelist and run it without any control or administration makes no sense as it would be a deathmatch server like all others.
thats it. A log telleing you who hits whom with what and who killed whom. And kick/ban. Also set of servertime and the red and white text. Thats all.
With the monetarization option they talked about giving items and stuff to players but there are not any options in dayz sa yet for any of that and i heard nothing coming up.
As for the rest: there are currently so little options for admins that its really not too difficult to run it. Only the more and complex rules you wanna have the more attention it needs. And the more you notice the limitations admins have.
Its promised to get better and more in the future but nothing moves currently.
also, anyone having car troubles....we are finding a lot of vehicles just out in the open ...but like stuck on an invisible rock....did something happen in the game...even our vehicles that we had parked are now stuck.
