Just published an update that turns off these settings:

AutoJoin in background.
AutoJoin if page is opened every X hours.

Right now it's not clear what is a criteria of getting a suspension. I advise you to stop using AutoJoin button and keeping those options off (although they're still available in settings).

Maybe using moderate settings you'll be fine, like checking only your wishlist and only every 10 hours? I don't know. And if you want to try it - you'll be at fault of your suspension.

Hope you still find this extension useful.

Of course, that only happens when real people are interacting with the site.

So, what do you guys think? Right now I'm thinking of publishing an update that disables background autojoin for everyone. I'll keep an option to enable it back but you'll risk getting a suspension.

Hello! This update brings parity between Firefox version and Chrome. Thanks to WebExtensions they mostly use same code. If you're using it and notice any problems, please leave me a message.

1.2.8 Steam Summer Sale 2017

Hello, as you know Steam Summer Sale started yesterday. And as before you get cards for completing your Discovery queues. Now you can clear them quickly by pressing "AutoJoin Queue" button on http://store.steampowered.com pages.

Core of this script was made by xPaw (of steamdb fame) long time ago but it still works and I decided to incorporate it into this extension, I think it fits thematically

It will be removed in another update after the sale ends. And it most likely will fail when Steam is under a heavy load, so I suggest you to use it after an hour or two after each day update.

This update also fixes audio not being played.

1.1.21 Attempt to prevent bans

Hey, today some of you could receive a ban (temporary, 24 hours). And here is why:

Some adjustments were made:

Extension will stop trying to enter giveaways if you have less than 5 points (previously it didn't care even if you had no points at all and bombarded steamgifts servers with requests).
There is now a slight delay between requests (0.5s if you click on autojoin button and 3s for joining in background).

So, less requests and not all of them instantly. Hopefully it'll be enough.

Minor update. Last update added option to automatically reload giveaways and auto join every hour. You can now edit 1 hour to anything between 1 and 24. Default is 2. Didn't test it in real conditions.

I'll start posting changelogs here as announcements from now on.

First of all - last version asked for a new permission, it's needed to access Steam's storefront API, to check if giveaway is a game or a DLC.

1.0.19:

Added option to automatically reload giveaways and auto join every hour (disabled by default)

"Load 5 pages before trying to Auto-join" now doesn't require infinite scrolling to be enabled
