found a bunch of my old saved AOA movies on my backup harddrive, and decided that the technology was finally here to allow me to easly share them with you.

Most of them have never been seen outside the team. I also have a big folder of dev-screenshots that I may make an up to date video with.

After much waiting for the F3 engine, it has finally been released on the PC with GECK the mod editor. I have not had a chance yet to look at it on my own time on my own PC but the prognosis is grim. It seems like Bethesda with the help of Microsuck really pulled a number on this one.

all this is according to my brother so far-

players can not re-map all the keys
remap of iventory key forces you to use one key to open iventory and another to close
gameplay only allows for one peice body armor
gameplay allows for only fallout menu through hand animation
random button on keyboard brings up xbox live menu (the game isnt even an online game!)
most importantly -supposedly- you cant import animations into the mod editor, which would on top of everything else cripple total conversion modding completley.

It seems that after everything it seems that it would be easier to make the mod on the Oblivion engine. Somehow adapt guns into it as crossbows or arrows with custom animations and models. & then throw eveything else into it by modeling in modern software and importing through max5 which i happen to have.

atm im working on more designs for UBA soldiers and storyboarding the animated intro cinematic for the game.

Still working out how the project will be put together. Main thing is trying to figure out what engine to go with Oblivion's or Fallout's. It would save tons of work doing it on Fallout because the guns and most other modern gameplay things are already in it, and wont require animation+scripting to make. Will Bethesda ever tell us atleast when theyre gonna tell us if were gonna get mod support? I will be happy even if its only on PC and if its only (frustratingly clunky & outdated) max5 again, at this point !

Almost lost portable hard-drive with all data while re-organizing my desktop pc data. sad.gif I was trying to back up data for re-format and also use the opportunity to orgonise aoa data in a mod-friendly way instead of having it all over in different folders. Well now that ive found it im considering buying another hard-drive to make an anti-misplacement backup of my portable while im working on it. I will have to wait untill after christmas and new years to get one because im broke with buying gifts atm.

If youre curious about Fallout 3 or sitting on the fence about buying it here's a live feed. Its also important to point out that if Bethesda releases modding tools for fallout AOA will be built on it. If they dont, we will build AOA on Oblivion engine instead. So with visual changes this is pretty much what aoa2 might look like in the near future.
