Hello, just joined:) Currently going through a really, really rough patch myself. Started making videos to try to cheer myself up, reconnect with the happy parts of myself even just for a little while at a time. With 260 members, I am going to start pushing for a bit more activity. I created the group to help those in need, and so far we have done fairly well. I've heard some success stories about positive interactions, but I feel like we can do more. I'm going to start hosting some chat sessions on a Team Speak server to talk to more individuals at a time.

As for you, the members, I would like some help in regards to spreading awareness for the group. Direct anybody you know who is struggling with personal demons or issues to us. In addition, I would like to see some more shared experiences about your interactions with other members. I hope this group is helping those who need it, and the only way for me to know is for you to speak up.

Since I was recently made a mod, I believe I should put a little bit out there about myself.
As you can guess, my name is Paul. I'm no stranger to hardships, as I've grown up with many in my life. Depression specifically runs heavily in my family, causing my sister to commit suicide onlya few months ago. I understand this subject very thoroughly and seriously. Although life is rough at times, I'm gonna do my best to sustain a postitive environment within this group.

I'm also nearly done with a degree in Mathematics/Computer Science if anyone is interested in discussing those topics!

Side note: If anyone has any suggestions for fun community events, there is now a thread to input those and keep them all organized.

This is a wonderful group, while as of right now I am not depressed I would just like to say that this is a great thing to do.
