If you are using version 0.1 (the one in the stickied post in the subreddit) then you are using the correct one. There is another version for members of the beta testing team.

Uh can someone help me? I may have downloaded it wrong or something but everytime I try to spawn my plane immediately explodes before i even do anything

Absolutely fantastic game, especially for being so early in the making. Steep learning curve in controls but once you get the hang of it the game is incredibly fun.
