SIRIUS Server has been closed (lack of use and persistent crashes). Yggdrasyl will be revamped and relaunched sometime in the next few days. Have a Merry Saturnalia, denizens!

TURN THE CRANK ERNIE! Minecraft 1.5 has rolled out, Vanilla Test Server on Port 25565.
Knock your socks off with the new features. The usual Creative 1.4.7 server will be resumed shortly, until decent builds of Spigot are available for the 1.5 update.

We're Still Here!

Today is the Last Day of the Yggdrasyl Survival Server. It's been a great experience, although very quiet in the latter half of the year, probably due to MC updates (and slow plugin updates). Thanks to all who contributed. We will now be transforming into a Creative server, with plugins to match, and worlds to be decided by VOTE (see the Forum). Management wishes a HAPPY NEW YEAR to all the Citizens, Denizens, Enforcers, Overlords and sundry other participants.

... and 1.4.6 now. A test server is up for the inquisitive, with a few bukkit plugins. The Survival server will probably stay on 1.4.5 due to breaking changes in Bukkit that make updating difficult. Merry Solstice Everyone

From 1.4 to 1.4.5 so far. If it stops we might get a SpoutCraft for 1.4.? but probably not before MineCon 2 is over. Yggdrasyl Survival is almost dormant on 1.3.2. Big Changes are in the wind for 2013, check the Forum for more info.

I have never measured the MB traffic. Home ADSL2+ can vary dramatically depending how close to exchange you are. I would limit it to 20 players or less to be safe.

I don't do PCS admin now, Supa is back. And I don't like Tekkit much anyway.

hehe yeah, but whoever does backups anyways? :) may I ask what sort of traffic (MB wise) per hour the server uses say with 4-6 players? my nephew is wanting a private server to play on and we need to figure out if his ADSL2+ account can take that many players and what sort of monthly quota he'd be running.

Nope. Yggdrasyl is my baby, and will last as long as I'm having fun hosting it. PCSMC is Supa's project, and if he stays gone, it's doomed :(

Worms connection lately has been terminally bad. Lots of disconnects.
Is there network lag (no server lag i can detect) or some other issue?
PS I added Bitumen to Creative and Ison RIngs for Chainmail to Survival.

Added Stained Glass Blocks! (needs Spoutcraft to see them)
