Reminder that this is in the rules:
• No Trade, VAC or Game Bans. (We never make exceptions.)
Thanks for your explanatory answer
The reason you've been possibly VAC banned while you weren't playing Counter-Strike as you said, you were running a malware in the past with/without being aware of it in a VAC SV which was undetectable by the algorithm at the moment you did such action and days/months later Valve triggered a VAC positive.
Anyone can get a VAC ban years later even if they stayed clean, it will finally arrive sooner or later.
Bear in mind that almost all VAC will be reviewed by the staff before finally triggering it. If they come to the conclusion that it was an error of the anti-cheating system they will remove it days later.
That being said if you are pretty sure you're innocent and it was a mistake (Hopefully), all you can do it's to submit the evidence that proves you're innocent.
Good luck.
If you really don't use any malware in the background, you're unlikely to be banned. Unfortunately, the attitude of our group towards cheaters is very clear. If you think that there is a really unfair ban, you may be granted an exceptional membership right in this regard. However, all group members must agree to this.
