Indeed, the game became really interesting (i tested it approximatly 80 h) with the update 3.0 & the DLC Split Vendetta. Serious Business can finally begin without crashing unexpectedly. Ahah ! Enjoy !

Yes, I managed to find a work around in the end. I set each carrier's fighters to a wing and then all the carriers to another wing. Ordered the carriers to protect me and then orders the fighter wings around, it's a little cumbersome but works well enough. It's good to see some X3 enthusiasts around, I'll keep an eye on chat in case anyone's online.

Carrier command software, specifically.

Sorry I didn't notice your chat invite until now. I have yet to play with carriers but with the information you posted one thing comes to mind: does each carrier in the wing have the same level command software?

One thing to add, I can get carrier command software to work to allow me to control the fleet on a single TM but I would like to have a group of say five TMs who's ships I can all launch at once without having to individually order each TM to attack the target. This won't work by adding the TM's to a wing. The carrier commands are then lost. Perhaps a fleet... I'll investigate.

Hey guys, am looking for a little help. I've played quite a bit of X3 but have run into a problem with using TMs as carriers to increase the range of my M4 fighters for small strikes. If anyone experienced could add me so we can discuss I'd be really grateful.

Albion Prelude is full of bugs, most annoying it keeps turning my volume to max.

ORI - have you used cycrows downloader? can download loads of ships into game (not advised too many) from STAR TREK,SERENITY, BABYLON 5, STAR WARS,DS9,ALIENS,BATTLESTAR and heaps more

Ahahah, I don't completely agree with you.‎But the fact is clear that the lack of innovation is felt when we played X3R during a long period xD

x3 reunion still so much better than x3tc..... hate the command screen in x3tc,hate it's ships, hate the lack of innovation, hate its colour-sound- physical composition of the disc-the shape of the disc and mostly the people who play it and disagree with me.
